It is complete and I am happy. The facility provides a life time warranty on the repairs, so I guess if something falls off they put on or the paint fades, I can take it back. I hope it is not $45k, but with the way things run it might be.

Sorry, should have been more precise. Don’t take to a non-Rivian approved. I think it made the job of the approved shop harder getting the amount to repair.

A end of ordeal post. I dropped the truck off 11/25 initial estimate $3062.88 (local State Farm approved shop). Took to Rivian approved location and the final is Right at $8,000. Lesson learned, don’t take to an approved shop first, I think that caused more probelms than it helped. Crash...

I clipped a deer on 11/15, took it for repair on 11/25 and it is still there. I realize there were 3 major holidays in between, so many missed work days. Current estimate is a little over $6,000. I expect it to go up some since there were more items found when the dug in to the damage. Hopefully...

My truck is being repaired and the update (43) showed up after it went in. I now see a new update and my truck is not expected back u til after the new year. Am I going to have issues if an update is skipped? Will I get back-to-back updates?

Thanks for the information. I was just told it would be approximately 4 weeks, so to 100% before it leaves home it is. I think I will turn off Gear Guard Gary.

On a related note. The preferred Rivian repair shops said it would probably be several weeks for the repair. What SOC should I have the truck at when I go? Understand approximately 65 miles with some freeway driving. I estimate it will take about 20% to get there.

Just a quick update. I have State Farm and they have repair facilities they work with, but none in my area are Rivian certified. I took the truck to one of these facilities to try to move the process. The estimate they gave was $2800. Will see what the repair shop goes to.

it turns out I had it on normal, I bumped it to early. i hope I never have to test it again.

My truck has warned of things in front before, I wonder if the deer was just too small to register? I am pretty sure I have all warnings turned on, but it may not be to the highest setting.
