Don, You don't have to take every CP/AA reference as click-bait to fight , do you? It is obvious how you feel. Let others just live a little before needing to squash them, eh?

They also have a +10,000/yr EDV sales base-load from Amazon that can expand beyond Amazon to other businesses. Last week there were thousands of EDVs in Normal that count as sold awaiting pickup, yet wonāt have any vehicle registration data to track.
To me itās a sales lever Rivian can use to...
As always, I wonder if EDVs are including in these numbers. Knowing that they have a large number in their delivery lots and a previous post showing that Amazon takes delivery as each EDV exists the plant.
It does feel right. My line of work too has tours and we shut them down during changeovers and times when new features are coming on-line. Although, this is not the R2, it may be another EDV vendor or the R1SQM or some other feature that they have asked us to 'stay tuned' for. . .
For BMWs, there is the Spartanburg, SC pickup option. If you take it for your delivery location, BMW puts you up in a hotel for a night, feeds you dinner, breakfast and lunch the next day, you get a few hours on their test track with pro drivers in your 'model' vehicle doing fast lane changes...
Old wound opening up here so be warned ā¦. Heard on a podcast, InsideEVs, I think where they commented that Honda Prologue EV is really a Chevy Blazer EV but with CarPlay/AA.
That and many buyers are Honda loyalists. West coast buyers have been treated well by Honda while also be starved by...
Not unexpected. However, it may be a mini-HALO desired vehicle in the used market a few years from now. I'd expect it to be as fast or a bit faster than the R2/Tri and R3X if 2x heavier.
Also, I've said this in other threads. No reason Rivian can't top the yet-to-be-released Gen2/QM with a...
Because the $6k expires end of March'25 & no mention of Gen2/QM, it signals when the Gen2/QM will be available. April 1st or later. It also makes a bit of sense that if Rivian is looking at the $3k deposit backlog holders and Gen2/QM production capacity, pulling any $3k Gen2/QM deposit holders...
Working from home this week in the cold weather I've noticed that the Amazon delivery teams are driving ICE vans instead of our usual Rivian/Amazon EDVs. Wonder if Amazon has curtailed them due to range loss/cold soaking?
Local Sales Reps unresponsive
- If you donāt like your sales representation, get someone else.
- Iāve had several interactions with online & Spaces team members where going on a year later, they still remember me without looking at their notes. They are positive and knowledgeable...
In the interest of keeping this thread alive for a few more pages, what will the helpful team here in this thread do if:
1) VW deploys AA/CP in their vehicles using the JV software stack used in VW/Porsche/Audi/Scout/Rivian? We know VW plans to use the JV software in all their VW family of...
Happy to have you here. This topic rehashes almost weekly so youāre just the flame recipient of the last day of ā24.
More than a few here will agree that CP/AA could be good yet the company direction is to continually build out the software ecosystem bringing targeted content built closely into...
Insurance rates have been on the rise for a few years. Insurance rate actuary teams use accident and insurance data two years lagging. SO, coming out of COVID, we're now paying for State Insurance Commissioners demanding insurance companies refund policy owners for not driving during COVID...
There are vehicles for all peoples. Some are right laners and some are left laners. Nothing wrong with staying in ACC mode. There are places and times where more performance can come in handy, for those that desire more, it is nice there are vehicles made to carry that dream forward.
Just in case folks wonder about tire capabilities on the G2 Quad/Max, Rivian is supposed to put these wheels on 22-inch Michelin Pilot Sport 5s, with a staggered position of 275mm width in the front and 305mm in the rear. These will carry speed rating in the W and Y class above the 130mph top...
