Great question. It's been almost a year and a half and I've wondered this myself and just come to an almost stop when switching. I'd have a hard time unlearning this habit :)
Just had one of those pieces come loose too (16 months in). Service took care of it quickly and looks better than new now :) Was a pretty quick fix, though not via mobile for me - had to go in to the SC.
I have a plug-in style cord separator that I can use my clamp multimeter to measure power draw. Useful to test things around the house and would work great for this too. But an in-app or truck display would be great.
I’ve also wondered how much power the inverter draws just having the plugs...

Ooh - nice! My buddy rides a KTM 890 Adv R, of which I’m super jealous while on my cheap beaten up thumper (KLR650). Hope for a significant upgrade when I have more time to ride one day (ie when the kids are out!)
Ooh, nice catch. I did, a long time ago. It was my first (street legal) moto back in 2001. Was young and dumb and rode that thing from Victoria BC to Boston to Houston and visited everyone along the way I knew. Great trip. And now I have to baby my back in my mid 40s. Hmm, wonder if there’s any...

This isn’t a new problem, it’s always been this way in Canada. While Rivian is in a bit of a survival mode right now, this one thing isn’t a sign of anything changing for the worse.
