Thanks, Brian. My R1S Tri replaced my much beloved 1990 Toyota 4Runner, which I had for 28 years and absolutely loved. It was completely gutless and pretty cramped, but I loved it. Solid V6 and 5-speed tranny, with all the bells and whistles. Took me everywhere. I am a devout (true) SUV man. On...
My experience suggests that RAN usually doesn't even beat Tesla non-member pricing, which is fairly disappointing. I normally just charge my R1S at Tesla superchargers when on the road.
Agreed! I love Rivian and get that they want to "blend in with nature", but come on. To me their colors are generally muted and boring. I'd love to see some bright, bold options. Because I was so unimpressed with the choices, I ended up going with Glacier White.
I hear you. I have a Tri with all-terrain package. EPA estimate is 329, which I assumed would be in "all-purpose" mode. Nope. To get anywhere near that, it's "conserve" mode only. As you say, aside from that, great vehicle.
My Gen 2 R1S is EV #6: 2 Fiat 500e's, 1 Chevy Spark, 2 Chevy Bolts. All previous were leases, bought the R1. Even with the extremely limited range of the Fiats and Spark, I was hooked on EVs since day 1 (back in 2013).
Adventure on!

Greetings. I have a Gen 2 R1S on which I recently installed a set of Weistec powder coated rock sliders. Plusses: EXTREMELY sturdy, looks like a factory install, easy installation, great customer service. Minus: Pricey
