How is this energy graph considered an update? The graphics are a little different? It’s still an opaque measurement, over minutes instead of miles, with the stupid 2mi/kwh as the default middle without in any way informing you what you’d actually need to do to get the rated range.
Totally reasonable to go to a tire shop and have them examine it. I suspect most will look under the flap and see if the sidewall ply is involved/damaged. If not, they will probably say it’s fine.
I have had much worse sidewall gouges from off roading examined at tire shops that would be happy...
No big deal unless there’s any signs of the sidewall ply layers being involved underneath. If you can’t see them underneath that little flap and the tire is holding air, then everything is fine.
Beautiful car. Looks great in white with the blackout and dark wheels.
A couple things about the Ascend vs the Adventure interior. Looks like there are many nice updates, but a lot of the things you mention as being different/new are also present in my Gen 2 Adventure Ocean Coast and Dark Ash...
Apple Music, drive cam, and other minor bugs improved on my gen 2. Seems like a reasonably stable release to me. “Biggest” problems is that I wouldn’t consider the volume normalization issue between songs is resolved for me. Atmos tracks are still quiet (vol 7-9) and regular tracks very loud...
Yeah I thought so too, but it wasn’t showing up there.
Turns out the notification was for a family member’s rivian. I have key access to theirs through the app and forgot about that. My update came in a day later.
Got the notification for the available update last night but accidentally cleared it on my phone. Doesn’t show up as available anywhere in the app now. That happen to anyone else ever? Any way to make it show back up?
I figured they would want to “keep” the money and I initially asked if it could be applied as part of a lease down payment (even though I wanted to do $0 down). They told me no, they would just refund me the money instead. So they took $500 and gave me back $1000. I would fight them hard on...
I booked the shop vehicle and paid an additional $500 deposit. Rivian guide then cancelled my custom order and refunded my $1000 deposit the next day. Had never spoken with a guide prior to booking the shop vehicle.
This is nice. Tesla was very shady and misleading about these things for quite some time as they changed their motor/battery warranties over various years and models, but really only had one version of the warranty posted at any given time.
It’s in the shop right now for some minor things: a couple poorly aligned panels, the left vent won’t go left/right, etc. “Biggest” thing is a dashboard/firewall rattle that’s very frequent when the heat pump is on. Sounds like a common issue that I have pretty good confidence they’ll fix...
In all seriousness, how much does this affect trunk protection options? Obviously it messes up armrest cover things like Canvasback offers, but is the floor template the same such that most floor mats will continue to fit? It’s got the potential for a fair number of domino effects if anything...
Funny thing, my delivery day got held up for several hours to check on this issue. Obviously the check took two seconds (the markings were there), but marking the vehicle off as having completed the check wasn’t doable due to an IT service center issue. They couldn’t officially hand over the...
Feels like a compromise that hurts both ends of the opinion spectrum. There’s still “leather” exposed to get all beat up with the seats folded for cargo and it’s way less useful for people when the seats are up.
What’s your VIN? That’s an unannounced change as far as I can see. My Gen 2 VIN 51xxx and a family member’s 52xxx both have the old style armrests.
