I don't know what it means but would guess it has something to do with the temp of your battery pack. Another observation, probably about as unhelpful as the foregoing, is that your motors are warm, while the battery pack is cold, something that to my decidedly non-technical eye seems odd. Also, how is it possible to be at 32F in NC at low elevation in mid-September?

A call to Rivian Service is certainly in order!

Several of the readings are showing 0 or null (including battery temp 32 °F = 0 °C) so it’s probably bad data and in need of a reset.

Dear Rivian,

Please stop with the silly "drive mode animation" updates every update. It sounds like there's a very vocal PM who owns that content and keeps pushing for his/her team on the relevant importance.

Yeah, someone there has a real hard-on for animations.

I happen to like the animations but I never see them because if I’m in the drive mode screen I’m in the gauge view. I think it would be nice if the available ground clearance from the height change animation was added to the off-road gauges.

Ultimately, I think Rivian needs to make all this stuff widgets and let us make a custom screen with what we want. As it is, there is no one screen which gives me what I want (smaller nav map, some gauges, music controls, drive mode controls) even though there is plenty of screen space to show it all.

So far so good. Haven't driven it, but install is complete, live Gear Guard not working though. I'll try again in the morning, thinking it just might not be enabled yet on their end. I am on the most recent version of their Android app.

Got the same error after the update last night (Friday, 9/27/24). Worked after I Disabled VPN

Neither infotainment nor vehicle reset cleared the error.

Overnight low was 60. No way the battery is 32.

I am with you. I like the animations and I do think that type of stuff and the continuous updates are things that differentiate Rivian.

I also agree....I like the gauges...which means animations aren't ever even seen. Something like when I trigger a ride height change...should result in that animation with the vehicle heights....bit then it should stay there for like 30 seconds.

And even it on the animations screen....the ride height animation disappears WAY too fast.

Still nothing for my R1S Gen 2.
for some reason WiFi gets disconnected when the car is sleeping. I kept the door open for 1h to stay connected to WiFi. Still nothing.
Connect+ subscription starting Nov 1.

Anything I can do, it just wait?

Just wait. Don't bother keeping it awake. It will wake up on its own every few hours and, if it's time in the que has come, it will download the update automatically and let you know when it's ready via the app.

First bad update for me. Ride menu now showing several modules with RED status and battery SOC is “NA”.

Truck has forgotten my keys too. Phone app has them.

Got the notification for the available update last night but accidentally cleared it on my phone. Doesn’t show up as available anywhere in the app now. That happen to anyone else ever? Any way to make it show back up?

Likely not update related, as others haven't had the same issue. Likely you have a fialed module, i.e. A hardware failure that would have happened regardless.

Mine didn't do any of that. Apple Music still needs work but otherwise everything seems fully functional on mine.

Likely not update related, as others haven't had the same issue. Likely you have a fialed module, i.e. A hardware failure that would have happened regardless.

Possibly. It just perfectly coincides with doing the update last night and all this happened on the first drive after the update.

I did experience some funky reset stuff in 31, but another owner here also reported that.

Since it is drivable, this may be yet another 12hr set of driving trips to the SC. Ugh.

It’s quite odd. I just went for a highway drive fully expecting Highway Assist to not work, since the GPS is out. To my surprise, it showed all the speed limits and permitted me to use Highway Assist. So it does know where I am, just like it does know the battery SOC, but something is wonky somewhere.
