Hi Folks,
I am wondering if other folks can actually use Alexa functionality to manage infotainment? I am used to my Tesla which works pretty well with voice commands. I also have never used Alexa before getting my Rivian. However, I have it setup and have even gotten the app for my phone to...
Yeah, it’s a silly missing piece. As another Tesla + Rivian owner, I feel like this is an obvious oversight. I can’t get the Tesla charge door respond to my hand 4/10 times even when it’s not freezing, so the app button is essential. Maybe it can also make it into the new Gen2 fob! Here’s hoping.
Haha, my youngest was born here and that’s him, he never wears shoes.
Since loring is closed, they use it to store excess potatoes in the winter some years now!
You folks must live somewhere warm and also not have kids. Between November and April at the 44th parallel or above, you aren’t really enjoying random outings while charging on trips. Especially since half the superchargers are in random strip malls…
Assuming tech updates/efficiencies continue steadily, I’ll be replacing my Model Y with a Rivian (probably R1S unless R2 really nails it) in a few years to go with my T. If the R3 comes in at a low enough price point, I’ll get one for my daughter.
Anyone who is into aesthetics and loves things...
You guys obviously don’t live in the frigid north lol. All roads here are crap or gravel for at least 50% of the year. So if there’s a way to make all-purpose snappier, I’m all for it!
Gen2 has buttons in addition to the manual pull, and in Gen2, the manual pull is the same color as the door, rather than chrome, as well as the accelerator/brake pedals, thereby making it, potentially, harder to notice. Since I already have a Tesla, it was pretty obvious to me and my fam, but...
Worked out pretty well. Got power back last night at midnight. Total loss was about 14 miles over 18 hours or so, running the fridge and the occasional blender.
Hi Folks -
We had a big wind storm last night and have been without power since (tree falling into line on my driveway too…). I have solar but unfortunately haven’t gotten any powerwall’s installed yet.
Thankfully, the R1T is powering the fridge (we have a wood stove so that’s all we need...
You won’t actually get charged, your cc is pinged and then it goes away while pending. I had the exact same experience and messaged them while I was sitting there, but I’ve used it 3-4 times now and each time I get an email showing $0 and no processed charge on my cc
$20 + shipping for the extra crossbars!
But also, yeah, there’s another thread on this. Someone clearly messed up and has been sending NACS adapters to folks who ordered the console organizer. Pretty wild. I still want both over here…
Indeed, it’s unfortunately a bit further for me since I’m all the way out on the coast. 4 hours to Chelsea, 5.5 to Montreal. But we do go 1-2x to Quebec each year, so might plan for that next time if it’s a scheduled service.
Glad to hear this. I’m in Maine and had a weird but minor issue with door catching slightly right after I got the truck in September, and they wanted to do it at SC. I happened to be going to Boston for a work trip so they scheduled it right during that and gave me uber credits.
But when I’ve...
This is my experience as well, but have only used the RAN in Freeport for the trips I’ve taken to portland or Boston. I’m very curious to see if there’s any difference with superchargers and the standard pack charging curve.
I have also found the standard pack to be pretty functional. I had...
The ride is quite good honestly, better than anything else I’ve personally driven before. Braking seems solid, even with snow and ice we’ve had these past 2 weeks.
I noticed a bit more road noise than expected at first, but I mentioned to SC when I brought in for a very minor issue where 1/32”...
