  1. Portable Charger?

Response from Ecoflow: Thank you for reaching out to EcoFlow Customer Support. Thank you for your inquiry, but we currently do not have products suitable for EVs. Due to the extremely high energy requirements and extremely small size of the batteries, our products cannot meet the electric...
  2. Portable Charger?

Ok, price getting closer - no wheels and 100 pounds means getting it up and down stairs or into a trunk would be a problem though.
  3. Portable Charger?

I’ve emailed ecoflow - will post their answer if anything noteworthy.
  4. Portable Charger?

Yeah, I guess my thinking was more in the $1k max range - $6k a little too much. Now if a group of neighbors were to buy one and pool it, that'd be a thought...
  5. Portable Charger?

Yea, I know the cost of the charger is an issue - and the amount of good it'll do you doesn't seem to make a strong case for such outlay - but I'm lamenting the dearth of options out there and assume it will get better - hopefully quickly. The situations of needing a charge in the city after...
  6. Portable Charger?

I'd love to think the world is so generous - have you ever dealt with a gas station in a big city (I'm talking NY, Philly) and think someone is going to let you plug your car into their 110 for an hour? Not realistic - maybe my idea is not realistic either - but I guarantee if EVs are to survive...
  7. Portable Charger?

You mean the cable? I mean a power source - just a cable doesn't help if you're parked on a city street - no one is offering you their outlets, or stranded on a highway.
  8. Portable Charger?

In addition to emergencies on the road - I think for city folks whose car is parked for days at a time with no access to a home charger - the ability to have a portable battery at home, plugged in and fulling charged so that it can be wheeled to their parked car and even if just pumping a few...
  9. Portable Charger?

Saw a video of a guy with an ecoflow(?) battery charging a stranded bmw - gave them 2 mikes in half an hour. It’s gotta be the next big thing for innovation - portable charging that doesn’t require a gas generator!
  10. Portable Charger?

I'd gladly carry a portable battery charger (not a gas generator - I'm not into irony) but don't seem to see anything out there specifically designed for this purpose. Anyone know of a solution out there that that might be able to supply an emergency charge to get at least a few miles of range...
  11. Bricked

Sounds kinda similar to my bricking of a month ago - if so, they’ll replace your HV batteries and hopefully you’ll never have an issue again.
  12. Cancelled my R1S Delivery

I also was close to walking away (different circumstances of course) but stuck it out and am glad I did. Good luck with the Audi and maybe let us know how it performs - I’ve read it is the worst ā€˜watt’ guzzler in that class - with R1S 2nd worst!
  13. Just watched the flatbed leave with my dead R1S

Got it back last night. Roughly 2 weeks - exacerbated by body damaged at the SC that needed repair. I don’t know the cause but it was the hv battery that was replaced. While at the SC a tow truck did some quarter panel damage that delayed its return - they gave me a full size spare to make up...
  14. navigation system the worst there is.

Yes, I do ignore the routing when I know where I am but when I’m coming from an area I am not familiar with, and since charging stations are not too prevalent in my neck of the woods - it may be routing me for a charge well before I’m close to home.
  15. navigation system the worst there is.

Is there a way to set my home(s) as charging destinations? It is annoying when I know I have enough charge to get home, where I will immediately plug in, but instead tries to make me stop at a station. As for Nav - I use Waze simultaneously to avoid any of the dopey things it has tried to make...
  16. Just watched the flatbed leave with my dead R1S

A tech called me from Brooklyn to say they received the truck and were ready to run diags on it - and he wanted to hear from me what happened. Nice guy, former tesla employee who loves Rivian so I’m hoping for a good outcome. Good news is he said they’ll flatbed it back when done, so we’ll see...
  17. Just watched the flatbed leave with my dead R1S

When I first got it, I didn't know what the error meant - so I tried to put it in gear but it was dead. The reason the truck is outside my garage charging is because it doesn't fit in my garage so I have the charger inside and run it outside to charge.
  18. Just watched the flatbed leave with my dead R1S

I plugged in at night with about 60 miles - and when I woke up and went to turn on the heat - I saw it was only at 93 miles - not enough for my daily commute. Thought maybe my garage had blew a circuit - but that wasn't the case as I saw the charger still had power - when I opened the door it...
