  1. Rivian charging vs Tesla

If the carbon footprint matters to you, Rivian claims to have offsets for all of the RAN network. I don't believe Tesla makes the same claim. I will use a RAN if one is available, even if they cost more. Less crowded, supports a company I believe in, they always work, etc.
  2. Panel fit vs accident

I had a 22 R1T and the gaps were fine, although I know many people on reddit reported them.
  3. R2 Website Updated. Pricing, Options Coming March 12

When will the test drives start? I am an early reservation holder and a Rivian owner, but I'm not going to order one until I can test drive one.
  4. Q4 2025 Earnings Report: Rivian expects to deliver 62-67K vehicles (including R2) for 2026

They are building out a lot of service centers. Still a very local issue, but in general the service center congestion has been eased.
  5. 2026.03 Update Pushed! Now Installing

Major upgrade for Gen1. We get Sport mode, kneel mode improvements, Apple watch app and more. Cold weather energy improvements too. Really good stuff. Launch mode for performance models.
  6. Purchasing frustration

So you signed up here to make this one response about a problem that was from Sept 2024 and has nothing to do with the subject of the post (trade in value). I've custom ordered two Rivians and didn't see anything like this. Sorry you did, but maybe you just need to let it go and move on (after...
  7. Rivian PLEASE give us a VERY LOW REGEN for Conserve Mode and Snow.

I'm not a mechanical engineer. I'd like to know if it is possible to fully eliminate regenerative braking the way Rivian has designed their permanent magnet motors.
  8. Heater Motor makes loud humming when turned up.

Whatever it is doing, it starts bit loud, then quiets down. Its the best HVAC I've ever had in a vehicle.
  9. Heater Motor makes loud humming when turned up.

I can hear mine when it starts (Gen1) but it quiets down. It heats up very quickly.
  10. Bike Rack on R2?

You can use whatever you can put on a 2" receiver. Or, on cross bars.
  11. Sensors in bed of R1T?

If the cooler hit the entrapment button, the truck will throw an absolute fit... Ask me how I know.
  12. ALSO TM-B

It doesn't have CarPlay, I don't want it. /s Seriously though, this looks very advanced for an e-bike. How does the $4500 pricetag compare to other e-bikes?
  13. Let's share your Road trip experience!

A full set of adapters, extension cables and a mobile EVSE. Get to know plugshare and abetterrouteplanner apps. If there aren't any EVSE at the hotel, try to find a outlet in the parking lot and discreetly connect your mobile EVSE (depends on the area, whether you think it will be stolen, etc)...
  14. Our 2025 R1T won’t start!

Make sure the truck doesn't think the charge port door is open. Open it and close it just to be sure. Try the hard reset multiple times. Make sure the sensors aren't somehow blocked or really dirty. Use carwash mode and see if will go into neutral, then shift it out from there. Try a different...
  15. 21" Inch At what point would you consider replacing tires?

2023 DM R1T with 21" Pirellis. At 29K miles, I'm down to 5 & 6. Just did my 4th tire rotation. Leaving the spare as is (4 tire rotation) to leave tread on it if I need it. I'm going with the Michelin Defenders or the new Hanook. I'm replacing them when they get to 3 or 4. Probably later this...
  16. How to bring your bricked Rivian back to life.

You keep it in the sub-frunk, which can be opened manually by removing several torx bolts under the wheel well. Where you keep the torx screw drivers / bits is the real question. I use a locked hitch safe.
  17. Home charging plan

The question is, how far do you have to de-rate it to make it safe? How do you know? Is it EVER safe with a continuous load at any amperage. A dryer outlet is a poor choice regardless, unless you re-purpose the wiring to provide two hots and a ground. Hardwire it and only derate by 20%.
  18. Home charging plan

What 10% rule? The rule is to run at 20% less than capacity for continuous load devices (or something like that).
