On one of the podcasts, she said the R1T charged at 160kW. Hopefully that was also not accurate information for the final vehicles. I know RJ said in an interview it peaked at 300kW, hopefully that's available from day 1, the 180kWh battery is so large and will take quite a while to charge...

175kW charger(s) on the course and an R1T with a 135kWh battery. I'm surprised it's not the 180kWh pack. I now wonder if that isn't yet ready and worry it won't be for 2021 launch.

Charge port on the driver's side is a good spot! Panels also seem more aligned than the Long Way Up prototypes. Can't wait to start hearing more non-Rivian folks talking about the cars and how they drive.

WOAH. What a great idea! 3m accuracy is plenty for really any typical day-to-day application and makes it much harder to make typos and can be picked up by voice recognition systems trivially nowadays.

A few more small observations. No more paddle "shifters"? Noise damping material! :D

I'm not sure if they're all exactly the same (size, power, gear ratio, etc.), but I was told at the Denver event that they are using PM motors.

@canoemonkey, I wasn't aware that a trailer-hitch rack like that existed! Cool! Have you used one yourself? Does the leverage from the height cause any problems or move around a lot from side to side?

Assuming the R1T/R1S can charge at 200kW or more, I'm selfishly okay with per-minute charges. It sucks for Nissan Leaf and Chevy Bolt owners that can't charge at fast rates, but that's a great disincentive to not have a vehicle taking up a spot and trickle charging for long periods of time. If...
