  1. Harsh ride issue fix: exercise (calibrate) suspension -- raise to Off-Road Mode + lower to Performance Mode

Anyone else notice better compliance after going through a car wash?
  2. Harsh ride issue fix: exercise (calibrate) suspension -- raise to Off-Road Mode + lower to Performance Mode

This makes it seem like we have to remain in highest for a certain amount of time to get the full buttery smooth result. I wonder if articulating it a lot while in highest would help/accelerate the process of reaching smoothness. For example, going over high/tough speed bumps while in highest.
  3. Wassym on software: "we like to think about 7 to 10 years..."

I suspect the Gen 1 suspension improvements are coming but have been delayed pending more testing and development. The beta release notes described exactly the state of things, the need to “provide a better distinction between ride feel Soft, Medium, and Firm settings”, etc. Over the past 2-3...
  4. Sulley R1T Build. Switch Pro 9100, Comma 3x, Frunk 12v Outlets, Cab Outlets, Btech GMRS 50Pro & More

I mounted my vertical antenna to the tow hooks— they are electrically connected to the body providing a good ground plane if you need it.
  5. Can you lose a previous software update/feature

Haven’t noticed anything changing in response to ride feel yet. Is ride feel supposed to affect the Kinetic System?
  6. Can you lose a previous software update/feature

Thank you. Do your Damper Pressures or System Pressure change significantly based on ride feel? Mine seem to remain constant and are higher than yours. I have [9, 9, 11, 11] and 17.1 regardless of ride feel so far.
  7. Can you lose a previous software update/feature

Which metrics are the pressures of the struts?
  8. Can you lose a previous software update/feature

Not sure if my issue is the same as yours but my suspension has been overly stiff for quite some time. Wondering now if it could be CV or bearing issue.
  9. Can you lose a previous software update/feature

Check this guy out— his suspension became stiff after a hard reset. Scroll up and he explains how the “stretching” fixed his suspension stiffness. https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/2025-r1t-gen2-trimax-rapid-ride-quality-deterioration.41049/post-737080
  10. Can you lose a previous software update/feature

I think the question is, can a hard reset cause some features to be disabled. (Not applying an update…)
  11. Harsh ride issue fix: exercise (calibrate) suspension -- raise to Off-Road Mode + lower to Performance Mode

I’d love to know if it’s a car hardware thing or a software / computer settings thing… With the comfort improvements in previous updates the suspension got super nice but then some people were complaining about squeaks and bounciness… and failing dampers…
  12. Harsh ride issue fix: exercise (calibrate) suspension -- raise to Off-Road Mode + lower to Performance Mode

How’s ride harshness / comfort for folks now, any updates or insights?
  13. Harsh ride issue fix: exercise (calibrate) suspension -- raise to Off-Road Mode + lower to Performance Mode

After my damper replacement my 2022 R1T continues to show little difference between firm and soft. The highest-to-lowest exercise seems to help a bit but not for long. Makes it seem like a software Issue. Is it possible that Rivian disabled the 2024.19 ride comfort intentionally to prevent...
  14. Submit your questions for Wassym Q&A I’m moderating at LA Auto Show!

Ask if a recent update rolled back or reduced the 2023.34.00 ride comfort improvements and 2024.19 Suspension Tuning updates in the R1T/R1S suspension? Many of us have noticed reduced ride comfort starting a few updates ago, even in Standard Soft. Did introducing those comfort measures cause...
  15. Harsh ride issue fix: exercise (calibrate) suspension -- raise to Off-Road Mode + lower to Performance Mode

The 2024.19 Suspension Tuning update did exactly that for me, 2022 R1T. Very comfortable ride on any terrain. Only recently did the ride become harsh and lose essentially any difference between firm and soft.
  16. Harsh ride issue fix: exercise (calibrate) suspension -- raise to Off-Road Mode + lower to Performance Mode

After a quick test this seems to improve things somewhat for me too — should be able to test more soon. There still seems to be some harshness left. Service told me that a(t least one) damper needs to be replaced on my R1T — maybe that's the remainder of the harshness...
