With any tech, one company spends years figuring it out and then others just do the method that ended up working
I wish it worked this well for me. I am at 80% FSD on my Cybertruck and wife is at even less in her 2025 Y. If we didnāt have to disengage and drive manually all the time for...
The problem with this is that Tesla has completely rewritten FSD since v12 (and several times prior) because they took the wrong approach. Now they (probably) have the right approach.
Kyle is a very nice guy and one of the most knowledgeable of EVs out there. He knows all the technical stuff thatās over my head. Hate his long form all you want but heās one of few YouTubers that provides actual value instead of just rehashing the news and info we can get ourselves straight...
Well, they got one license (Raleigh) grandfathered in. They got shut down for number two (Charlotte) a decade ago in a fight against Hendrix and Sonic (Leilani Munter showed up to support Tesla for some of the legal challenges). For a while they had to technically run all Charlotte sales through...
Iāve been saying for years that Tesla should make FSD $49/mo if they want mass adoption. I donāt care how good it is, most people donāt want another $100 on top of their car payment if theyāre already stretching to get the car itself.
it might create an Osborne effect for some buyers, but you have to remember only 15% of Tesla owners pay for FSD, despite it being EXTREMELY good now, and that's even after getting free trials when you buy the car. Most people just don't care about autonomy. I wish I didn't! š
I love my wifeās 2025 Y. So much nicer and quieter than her 2021 Y. It feels so small since Iāve been driving the Cybertruck the past couple years.
I wish R3X was closer but it seems like itās a few years out at best now. I initially reserved the R2 for my wife but she wanted a new Y and lease...
Many of the complaints are fixed with R2. Seems like the ONLY real downside going forward is not having FSD. Thatās not a minor thing since I use it daily and especially love having it when Iām in a new town. I just let the car drive me instead of trying to figure out what lane I need to be in š...
Tesla let existing owners order first even though they were not first in line for Model 3. Then early reservations. But in the case of Model 3 and Cybertruck we are talking over 100k reservations first day and still just a couple months between me as one of the first 20k reservations and a...
I have an iPhone. I donāt know why it didnāt work but it didnāt. Only happened once before years ago on my Model 3. But in this case it had reset my phone connection as a key and wouldnāt respond in the app.
They probably have an initial number in mind to make and sell of them. If more early people order then they'll get through that number earlier. I am guessing a lot of early reservations didn't want performance version and/or wanted lower price and/or wanted different paint/interior and are...
Having been through this type of thing with two Tesla models now, the "place in line" probably isn't quite as important as you think. I mean, day one vs someone who reserved a few days later? Probably makes a difference. But first 15 minutes vs 30 minutes? Probably won't matter.
Of those 10k...
I love the Y (we are on our second one) but I just call it a "tall car" (which is fine for what it is)
A couple weeks ago I had to use my key card to get in my Cybertruck because my phone as key somehow reset while I was out walking at the lake, and there was no signal and it wouldn't unlock...
As a current Tesla owner and long time FSD user, the speed limit thing is my ONE complaint of FSD. Not being able to slow my truck down without disengaging when it's going too fast or speed it up without holding the accelerator when it's going too slow is maddening. To make it worse, Tesla's...
