I’m finding it’s working on IOS 18 Dev Beta 2 and Watch OS 11 beta on iPhone 14 Pro Max. I have confirmed than the app must be opened on the watch and you must be on the driver’s side near the door for it to automatically Auto Unlock when walking up. If you manually press the lock/unlock...
Take a look at this and I ran the VIN number on it to verify it is a 2023 R1S. Says it's a retractable sunroof for it, even though it was not an option. Check this out...
I will upload the full reply as I am putting them all in the Opan AI Rivitech GPT I trained. Once I get a chance to do that this weekend and I’ll put the output here. I’m using it to track all my service visits so I have full history on the R1S and the R1T. Super helpful!!
Tested it all day long in the same stretch of 50 mile highway and the issue is 100% solved. Good job Rivian on doing way more than the software version details cover. Kudos, and I am very happy. Cannot believe how much it change this vehicle. It was driving me nuts, the R1S drives like it's...
So, it looks like the ongoing issue with this 2023 R1S Quad may finally be resolved after updating to 2024.19.04!
I took it for a test drive last night on the same stretch of road, and it drove incredibly smoothly. Even though it was nighttime and cooler, I didn't feel any of the previous...
Training on wheel and tires fitment still needed I see. Good feedback! Feel free to school it. If anyone has a comprehensive link to feed it that would be great!
I've been working on this for quite some time, training myself to learn and understand the R1T and R1S vehicles that I drive. Initially, it started as a way to comprehend the features and comparisons between the two models. Eventually, it evolved into a diagnostic tool after several service...
I am feeling you on this and I think the wheel bearing makes sense due to the 10 minute delay that occurs before the issue comes up. Heat is the what exposes this. I think replacing the hubs and bearing may indeed resolve it. We will see next week when it goes in.
Here is an update on things. I was able to "fully" test this out in the normal stretch of the highway where it does this. I have found that the vibration in the body of the car occurs after I have been on the highway for a 10 minutes or so and I am in Highway Assist or using Cruise Control...
I do have those turned off, but in the past with the same issue I did have them turned on. I did however take the advice from the other post and I put it in Conserve mode which I never do. I drove the same stretch of highway and was not able to replicate the vibrating shuddering issue "yet"...
That could be an issue if the wheel when turning experiences some lateral force, it could be sniffing that wheel bearing out past its "good" point and then causing a wobble. But then I wonder why it is not doing it without Cruise or Highway Assist still.
This a great diagnostic step layout and I have not yet tried the different drive settings as I have been in All Purpose the entire time. I have been logging the Vehicle Diagnostics for the tech (left steering wheel buttons and emergency flasher hold down until it shows up logged) for them each...
I do wish I had a system fault as that would help. Which makes me think what items are not attached to a sensor in those moments that it can’t read? I’ve thought maybe a hung up caliper if it decided to slow down for the turn or maybe suspension related. The techs and I were thinking it was...
I have thought software too and all of this is good input. I have racked my brain and so have the techs going into round 6. I think as a collective here maybe we can figure this out on some level. It’s the last issue and after that this R1S is golden. It is as if there is an imbalance on one...
Yes it’s an option , but want to avoid as I have an R1T also and both of these vehicles have all the bugs worked out of then after several service visits. I feel like even a replacement will likely have the same. Since this is a quad and there is no new quad out yet, then I want to keep this...
That’s is a really good thought and I wonder if that is the case why would it continue to do it when I go straight even when I reengage Cruise Control or Highway Assist?
