Has anyone who is experiencing this issue found this to be new behavior, like after December update or something? Anyone out there not experience this on their gen2 at all? Informal poll, since SC from multiple locations are indicating this is normal behavior
I did this three times on my home charger. Second time was two days after the first full charge, with half an hour DC charge in between. Every single time I've had the same experience. And support is now telling me this is normal behavior. I'm starting to have serious buyers remorse
Thanks! I was hoping for something that kept the more granular data, like charging rate throughout the session. I'm having trouble with the charging rate over 80% and would like a better recording option than screenshots on my phone
It seems to be happening across a number of us, at various temperatures. No dashboard warnings. I think yours is a separate issue. It's what I keep hearing too, from rivian reps I talk to. But the adapter and cord, everything is very cool.
I agree, it seems the SC don't have a system to...
Hello all,
Is there a good app for keeping track of rivian charging history? Tessie did a good job of that for Tesla. It would allow me to remember history of charging times and kw rates as I recall, where it was, etc. it kept track of my trips and battery usage as well which is cool. Is...
Update: support thought it might have to do with the heat pump as it conditions the battery. After replacing that, another part, and the rear evaporator I have heat again, and home charging only dropped to 7kwh in the mid 80s
Driving my brand new (6 days) r1s home for three hours in 12 degree weather with the heat completely broken. Had to stop on the way home to buy a blanket, hand warmers, and gloves I was so cold. Had three hours to consider for the steering wheel gets cold before it starts warming again
I don't know the bit, but I suppose it's true. Like airplane wifi sucking so bad it's unuseable ( last time I flew anyways) if the steering wheel heat actually lets the steering wheel get cold, then that's not good user experience. I haven't seen another car where this is the case, and none of...
I can confirm this is the behavior of my brand new gen2. It gets warm then waits until the steering wheel is legitimately cold in some spots and warm nowhere before it warms up again. Verified with the tech this is expected behavior. It kind of sucks really.
That's true rates can slow, but the rivian tech support guy said that's mostly DC charging. And taking 13 hrs to top off ten percent is just not practical. Rivian is looking into it, and he said it might be related to to the heat pump. I'll update the thread when I learn more.
Best wishes...
So I charged my r1s at a charge point on my way home yesterday, went nice and fast. I charged again on my home charger when I got home yesterday and it started off strong, 11kw until it got to 82%. Then it dropped to 2.2% after 90%. Then after 96% it dropped to 1.7. That's 102kwh in 14 hrs...
