I was thinking about this thread as I picked up my G2 with VN in the 55K, it actually still has the cubby . @OP Yours may have a more recent/higher 55K vin than mine.

Just wanted to share for those about to pick up a new G2 R1S or considering it. I took folks advice and brought the check lists which are exhaustive but found that I really didn't have the time to really check every usb port etc, so I started with looking for issues that Rivian Might say...
My guide said that you (I) will not be getting an adapter at pick up, and will receive an email to opt-in as others have mentioned. No comment whether I would be at the end of the line.
I agree with others that those who have been waiting should get theirs first, so I'm cool with waiting a few...

I couldn't find a PDM with the options I wanted in the shop so My guide told me to just take a DM Max because there was for sure going to be...
Sorry if this has been addressed already. Has anyone recently picked up a Rivian and been given the adapter then and there, or received an opt in email after a recent pick up? Thanks!
@Thedude , had I known this, I could have picked something from the shop a long time ago. I thought I was being wise picking an R1S that had the compressor, over the Dynamic Roof Glass or PDM. I'll definitely look into how to use a plug kit. Thanks again for the education.
Is it true then, that using the tire patch material that come with the Rivian makes the tire no longer reparable? One of the reasons I waited to find a config with the air compressor, was so I couild avoid driving around with a spare, and patch if I had such bad luck? Thanks!
I wasn't clear what they were trying to say, but what you said makes sense. Glad to be wrong and we are going to get 10k of free charging :clap: (I know it's not the case).
I'm really sorry to hear this. I'm new hear, but everything I read, seems like Rivian is really good at taking care of their customers. Hopefully this is a one time thing. Wishing you the best.
