A tech showed me this once. There are a 3-4 distance zones where the car senses your distance and performs tasks associated. I don't remember more details of exact feet away, but gave me the impression this was all adjustable.
Looks like they're catching up a bit.

Increased drain here. Also trouble with home location. First it never thought I was home (even though garage opener prox worked), now the last few days it thinks I'm home and doesn't lock even when I'm out.
I can't get the cover off. Pretty sure I'm seeing the later of clear plastic underneath flexing off the windshield. Is this normal or am I about to tear the entire camera system off?
The new tri-motor models start at $99,900 for the R1T and $105,900 for the R1S, which is a couple grand more than the outgoing quad-motors, but these both get the larger Max battery standard. Pricing for the quad-motor has yet to be released.
