There are many random bugs mentioned here that happen and sometimes a software reset will fix it, sometimes not. There are many things that need to be fixed, improved, and many more promised features yet to come out. I always look at this and wonder, how bad was VW's software that they looked at this and was like yea, we want that.
Have you been in an id4? It's BAD.

All I wish for (today) is for my freaking interior lights to consistently turn on when I open the door. I don't recall if it did this before the Halloween update but I really notice it now since it's getting dark much earlier. Basic stuff like should never happen.

I wish Rivian would close the distance to lock. I have to be about 2.3 light years away until mine locks.
Your not kidding. I don't have a clue how they implement this, but how about a user setting for time to lock after not getting a signal from cell phone? Let's us take it from hyperactive to super slow. User decides...

UWB is the way to improve this. That'll give way more accurate distance info.

This is highly dependent on phone. Pixel trends to both unlock and lock and a MUCH greater distance than my Galaxy

So both at greater distance? My Galaxy opens only very close and then locks when I am so far away I can't even hear the bird chirp....

My iPhone unlocking ranges from 7ft away to I stand there hand out waiting on the handle, which only goes out when I pull my phone out (usually when I’m at the phone Lock Screen still)

This is how my iPhone 13 Pro works. That’s one reason I want the owl back. For me, the owl is easier to hear from afar. Sometimes, I can even hear the owl from inside my house. That would never happen with the chirp. I do wish that it would lock a little sooner than it does. I often find myself back tracking to make sure it locked. And then, there are times when it locks very quickly - strange.

A tech showed me this once. There are a 3-4 distance zones where the car senses your distance and performs tasks associated. I don't remember more details of exact feet away, but gave me the impression this was all adjustable.

Would love to know how to adjust this. Completely agree that some of the lock sounds are hard to hear when you're so far away before it locks...

Yeah, I owned one until we got the Rivian.

The software worked, and after 3 years, we got maybe 3 updates. Each one was to provide the ability to get future updates. The first had to be done at the dealership, requiring almost a week’s wait.

The other two actually were OTA.

For the most part, Iit didn’t matter because I used CarPlay 99% of the time.

Curious what energy app you have on your Tesla? My Model S has one similar to Rivian but does watts instead of kWh but still only last 15 minutes.

Is there something else there I have never seen?
The Tesla one also does current trip and since last charge. It's much more useful than a manually reset trip A/B or 15 min snapshot.

I’ll guess this update rolls out on 20 Nov 2024. A Wednesday, and over a week since the first install

Hello, I've only had my used 2023 R1T since Jan. 10th, so pardon a potentially ignorant question. i.e. I only just now learned that the compressor (with compressed air outlet in the bed) is used for suspension leveling, etc. My question is: while using the compressor outlet to blow out a filter with a compressed air nozzle, I set the pressure to 114 psi and used it. I noted the pressure started out good but then pretty immediately dropped to a very low volume. I haven't tried to inflate a tire with it and this little test leaves me to wonder if it could actually inflate a tire to 45lbs or so? I suspect that there's no compressor tank to store pressure and this will account for the difference between this air nozzle use and what I'm used to with a typical shop air compressor. But, if some on can tell me: yes, if you have an open air nozzle that's what will happen. But, if you try to inflate a tire, the enclosed space of the tire will eventually fill to the pressure you have set on the truck bed air compressor panel.
