Well Farley supposedly text Elon the other night. I think Elon is getting way more pushback from his loyal customers than he imagined. He wants that $56B in their vote.
I have both, T is a lot better but everyone compliments on how great the ride is. S is fine and no one complains but very noticeable for me since drive T Mostly.
Buy the vehicle that works best for your family needs.
Interesting, mine works about the same as. Blue Cruise and AP. I like Blue Cruise full hands free better but overall have about the same amount of "interruptions". Only real issue I have is in early morning sun, but all 3 have that issue.
I live in a flat dry area so maybe that helps mine...
Really the main reason along with the bs $20k surcharge on CT that I kept the R1T. I just need 2 to 3 more inches of leg room on R1T and my eyes wouldn't wander. 3 Teenage kids are pretty stuffed in.
As someone mentioned if really worried about not having the latest and greatest. Lease an EV. My truck is so improved in 18 months of ownership it blows my mind.
Tesla has overpromised time after time, so I just be missing something. Otherwise I would already have a cyberturck that I turned...
I'm in the opposite boat. I don't want a vehicle to drive itself but I do love being able to have a more relaxed drive with current driver +, 3 hour drive this morning was very relaxing.
Do you just want hands free or more? The original camera for hands free and lane change are only things I...
Gen 1 R1S is markedly worse ride than R1T. I have never had an issue with the truck.
Having the S now for 2 months there are moments I cringe as waiting for the family to give me a hard time about ride quality. They haven't but I'm shocked that it feels like it hits bump stops on med, and soft...
I hear ya. My Meridian in R1T is definitley a better sound. R1S sounds hollow, will be looking into speaker options but waiting to see other input before I start pulling apart another vehicle lol.
I don't see much value loss, EVs have already been taking that hit. Why I was able to buy an R1S quad fully optioned under $80k with 200 miles on it.
Would .5 seconds quicker be nice, other interior colors sweet, sure. However nothing listed in article that is a gamechanger from current R1's.
Yes, R1S should be on same wheel base as R1T with R2 coming out. The ride comfort and extra leg room would make a lot of our friends at least compare a R1S in cross shopping. With the large sports participation, larger families, and long drives needed for my area the R1S is too small.
The reason for simply not on while vehicle is on was given above. The inverter burns a decent amount of energy so it is nice that Rivian made it a very simple selection to turn on or off to avoid unneeded wasted energy if not needed.
