Indeed, there's now more discount on the dual motor. The cheapest R1T I see in my store page right now is 86k CAD -> 63k USD for a dual motor (non-perf) large pack. That's a screaming deal.
So those with early pricing are limited to the R1 Shop availability if they want the discount? ☹

If you accept that the port has to be in the rear (personally I'd prefer front), in the following garage charger placement, option 2 is the shortest cord and will definitely work with all home EVSEs:

* They don't want to fuck over existing Rivian owners with their home charging setup
* It's cheaper for them for the single motor version since they don't have to run as much HV wiring
* The Tesla cable reaches fine as-is because the port is close...
Ask any Ioniq 5 owner how well that works in practice. It doesn't. Forget about RainX etc. too. Thankfully the 2025 refresh finally is adding one! Would be a big disappointment to see the R2 without a rear wiper.
