Here in Texas, I spend close to $600 per year in gas tax on my truck, not to mention my other vehicles. So $200 is not bad at all, especially when you look at other states. Owning an EV in Texas is not painful nor do I feel this is punitive.

I don't know how this is supposed to work, but I downloaded the Tesla app and clicked on charge a non Tesla car for info. The map supposedly shows chargers that are available to non Tesla vehicles. Pretty much none in between cities, so no help on trips. Oh well.

Have one in the frunk of the R1S also for the same reason. Wife doesn't want the plates on till the temp tag expires anyway. The SnapPlate fits great and is the perfect solution to not drilling and easy on and off.
