Houston Service Center/Deliveries

Just wanted to create a place for Houston area info. I stopped by the service center yesterday and there were about 10 trucks inside having delivery prep done, so there should be some happy people, soon. Niger came out and let me check out his black truck. I was in a hurry and he was busy, so I didn't ask a bunch of questions. He said he has been in an R1S and he fit in the 3rd row.

Man that is exciting. Looks like they are now up and running? Houston is huge so I hope over the next few months we see more ramp ups of deliveries over here. I still have ways to go but I suspect I won't be seeing mine until 1st Half 2023, even though I was given an Oct-Dec 2022 window.

Hopefully that's what they were prepping trucks for, hadn't thought of that. That was the 1st time I had seen a Rivian in person.

Today there were a handful of trucks with manufacturer plates. I was told that they are there to start doing the personal drives, whatever they're called. Probably within two weeks.

kind of odd that they have demo trucks with 2 sets of crossbars with so many people waiting for their cross bars to be delivered.

I had the same thought as I pulled up, but I'm assuming these are part of their demo fleet and not new builds so they probably have some for show and display reasons. I was also surprised that they were all launch green. You would think they would save those for customers. There were other color trucks there but they didn't have manufacturer plates. No sign of limestone.

Those are Launch Green? I'd swear they are El Cap. The only Launch Green I see is parked in front of the building.

Received delivery today. Rivian Houston staff delivered it and walked me through the ins and outs and drive with me. Stupendous service!

Rivian also provides loaner vehicles when customers need repairs.

I popped in today to see if an R1S existed. There are none in Houston, but deliveries are taking place.
