This is something they could easily replace using their mobile service, if they can train and hire more techs. Because who wants to take it in to a SC only for them to take four weeks, three of which the vehicle is sitting idle in their parking lot.
This is typical of most service centers. You have get loud. Once you do, things start moving quickly. Unfortunately, as they say, the squeakiest wheel gets the grease. Sad it is this way right now, but if you sit and wait, they will keep you waiting.
I was late to the appointment at the Atlanta space due to traffic so I literally had five minutes or less driving. But I had already decided I was going to get it after research so it would not have made a difference
No one said they expect perfection from Elon Musk. He should have stuck to what he was doing with Tesla instead of aspiring to be a James Bond villain.
If he keeps going the way he is going, he is gonna make a mistake that lands himself in jail.
Gen 2 is not a minor tweak. It’s almost completely new on the inside. Unfortunately, what’s done is done. But yes. If there isn’t a SC nearby, these are not the best choice. Many people have no major issues while others do. It’s not all bad but living near a SC will make life easier. Since you...
There are. Volvo is a good option. Their polstar division is also an option.
Audi is an option. Scout will be an option in a few years but the other three are available now.
I love my R1S. I would not get a second gen yet. A first gen used is an option. But you seriously have to consider whether or not you would be okay driving five hours to a service center. At some point, sooner or later, like all cars, you will have to take it for service.
Mine is gen 1. Little bit more miles than yours but not much. Did not need a tow. Alerts came up to service battery and it went into limp mode. But the next day, all was fine and had been fine for a few weeks since but since I had the appointment took it in. They say the 12v is fine but the HV...
This is the polar opposite of the ATLANTA SC.
In Atlanta, the appointment will take a few months to get. Once you drop off the vehicle, it will sit parked in the sun for a few weeks before they do anything. When you ask for an update, they’ll say it just went in for diagnostics. But when you...
Camp speaker is a POS for the most part. It works fine for me if I use it at home plugged into the outlet. But even then, it can take several attempts to connect Bluetooth.
This was a great idea, but it was poorly executed. I think they should either fix the issues, or abandon it.
