From the tow operators guide, it shows the rear storage area in the R1S with the spare. Total of 5.1 cu ft of storage- not including the space occupied by the spare.
Since we're both in Atlanta... here's the 200+kw DCFC in the metro area. They're all either EA or EVGO. Go to these when you actually need to charge fast for driving long distances.
For a decent, but not ideal fast charge, you can slide the minimum power down to 120kw and you'll find more...
I think you'll find the home charging experience with a Rivian (with the full 11.5kw L2 at 48A charging on a 60A breaker) to be similar to your Teslas in that regard, where you'll rarely go low on battery assuming you plan & charge accordingly at night to the appropriate level. Level 3 DC fast...
I missed it too! There's a photo of it in real life as well on a camo wrapped R1T pre-prod unit. Old news but I shared it anyways. Glad at least someone saw it for the first time :)
Bonus points if it's an R1S on 20" ATs. The vast majority of pics I've seen are at the standard or low ride height for conserve/sport mode. That's fine and dandy- idk about y'all, but I'm going to have to park (not drive) mine at max height pretty often- at least at first, because it's...
1EV is a company that just 3D scanned a local's R1T wheel well yesterday, with the intention of developing aftermarket wheels. Here is the video of them doing so:
After watching the Munro video of the R1T underbody, I'm inclined to believe that the "carbon fiber" layer that is under the battery is not actually the carbon fiber that we're used to seeing on high end sports and race cars known for it's weight benefits, but instead a type of carbon...
Congratulations! That's good news that the registration process is even easier than I had assumed.
IMO the only thing dealerships do to care for customers after the sale is strictly service, which Rivian obviously already has service centers, at least one in Atlanta for now, and I'd imagine...
As far as I know there are already a bunch of owners with their trucks here and registered. Went by the temporary service center a couple weeks ago to see a full lot of them getting their PDIs done and ready for delivery. There was one with a new vanity plate and current registration sticker...
I've known about Rivian since 2018 but never had the urge to commit to a pre-order until finally in September 2021, my wife gave me her blessing to make the jump due to our growing family now with two young boys to raise, and wanting a tow vehicle for my sports car that's become a dedicated...
