If you drive 2 hours at 80mph vs 70- you save 20 minutes. Each time you stop to charge has charging overhead time (time it takes to get off highway, get connected to charger, etc). On a short, one charge trip, faster to speed. On a multi charge day trip, faster to slow down. Just depends how far...
Watched Tesla AI day presentation last night where it talked about the complexity of mapping and making split second decisions for FSD. Cool stuff. Rivian will never match their technology. It’s so deeply entrenched in new language coding. Nothing off the shelf can provide that currently.
The self-righteousness in this forum is unreal. This reads like the Tesla delivery forum: “Waahhh waHhh” I was promised a date and it got pushed back again.
They clearly are trying to improve while streamlining the process and keep the bottom line in check. They are running a huge deficit and...
Reading this seems to match my thoughts about what it would be like to own a Rivian vs a Tesla. I didn’t like the steering feel or throttle feel either. GUI was underwhelming but it’s also early in development so that gets a pass.
I hate noises and rattles. That alone would sway me to look...
Me neither. I think slowly shifting front wheels back and forth and giving it a few runs is all it takes. A little throttle to keep forward progression. At some point, there’s enough sand packed in to the wheel well that it pushes forward.
Thumb nail over the impact point. If glass is missing there, a rock or something hit it. If smooth, then something else. I’m betting impact and you have to shell out for replacement.
What sort of deterrence could you use when dropping the trailer so it’s “safe”? I’ve chained the wheel before but that’s annoying and a hassle. Just a chain draped through and locked to the frame would prevent them getting too far.
I like how Tesla app I can view live sentry data so when I...
The yellow dot on the tires should be aligned with the valve stem. Most shop techs don’t know this or don’t care. Manufacture determines that is the place to offset the weight of the valve stem. If not aligned, it’ll cause need for weight elsewhere. Albeit, weights will still always be...
My tint shop left a small piece like that in windshield tint. I didn’t notice it after 2 days. Still don’t. Only when I clean the windshield do I see it now.
Looks like this has a lower weight rating at 113 rather than 115. If you’re not maxing out payload, it should be OK but is not recommended. Given its a winter tire, I’m sure you won’t be near max GVWR.
