Looking at this dudes screen on his minI (5.9 mi/KWh) makes me wonder what is the best we can get out of R1. I think we will see 400 mile range coming out of someone’s large pack at some point. If no one has done it by the time I get mine, I will make it my mission to make it happen. It would...

I am surprised there is no manual way to release the breaks. If R1 decide to die in the middle of the highway, and the turtle refuse to cooperate, police will try to push it off the road which with locked wheels means a lot of damage to the tires and probably the bumper. There are so many...
Do you guys know how many key fob and key cards a Explore or an Adventure get? I may not use my phone as a key if I can turn off the feature and would like my wife to have a copy of each.
I think things like routing and navigation uses LTE and things like software update is WiFI. I can’t verify but my point is how much of a difference turning both off makes (if we can),
Really curious (may be in a year or two) about the tire condition for R1s that spend a lot of time in sport mode in twistiest. Low center of gravity may help drivers not feel the weight but I bet tires do. I currently drive a sport car that is only 3000 Ib. I may have to learn to behave with...
Carrying longer items that can fit inside. That is something I will definitely want to do with mine. Much easier to deal with for short drives than dealing with roof-rack. Especially flat items that can fly away off the roof rack.
I wonder what happens if you try to close lift-gate manually...
Most of what I say is arguments I have with myself and I am hoping others give me a new perspective that help me make the best decision for me. I am trying to maximize the checked boxes for me too. Being happy with your choice is important. This exchange certainly helps.
I do get your point. That said, this is almost an argument for Rav4 Prime. Even though you are carrying an ICE engine and the fixings most of the time without using it, it still weighs a lot less than Rivian in which you carry battery capacity and weight you don't use most of the time. Are...
Love all the gas tanks on top. I can see bringing extra battery packs to compensate for the range loss due to tires, bumpers and the rack.
Edit: I do see your overall point. This is competing with Jeep, Bronco and 4runner. You can't have a fun mobile without mods. It is just that EV mods...
