Back then, it was you that was the chick magnet not Trans Am. Now it is R1T ;)
Edit: U100, I wouldn't joke about anything that does not apply to myself. I hope you were not offended.
I suspect the issue is with the timer/counter responsible to shoot out these messages the day after your warranty is up. somehow it must have gotten confused. You should be fine once they reset the counter ;)
Makes sense. You wouldn’t want to set all R1Ts on fire at once due to a booboo in the code. And as an owner, you definitely don’t want to be on the first batch.
I have always had a bit of bias against Ford and not a fan of exterior design but I like the space in back seat and 9+ KW AC power. I do like the size of Rivian better but am starting to question it now that what I would do If I get the invitation and both Pro and Tax credit are available...
@OutofSpecKyle did Lightning have a pedestrian noise maker? how did it sound comparing to R1T?
You kept talking about how quiet the motors were. Would you take F150 or Rivian on a road trip?
Doe that mean you pay for transporting your truck 4.5 hrs if it is not derivable post warranty?
Any Tesla owners in the house that had to do any work post warranty in similar situation?
All my repairs have been done 3 minutes away from my house in the past. Never put much thought in this.
I have had a similar dilemma without the time pressure since I have later registration with Explore. As far as the errand test above, I would take R1S. It is shorter and easier to park. I like the look of R1S more as well. So far I have not switched to R1T and have stuck with R1S...
If R1 is going to compete with Jeep and Tacoma, the community should be able to do repair and modifications, except for an EV, half of that will be in the code.
Aside from the water thing, it always felt like they are still tweaking. Otherwise we would know this deep into delivery windows what it is we are buying. It is still like a unicorn a mortal has to own before we know what kind of spare tire or internal dimensions we are getting. If no one has...
It all depends on the nose. We don't know where that energy goes. It is only an assumption that it is to preserve the battery and corresponding to battery size.
Each owner should have the option to judge how much they like their nose.
