  1. Getting stopped and asked questions?

By the time I get mine, everyone will have their answers but I do know the feeling; Me and my wife have custom made wooden Kayaks and we get similar type of questions to the point we were turning into self absorbed annoyed snobs. Once, right as we parked on a small town street, this lady walks...
  2. Warning SPARE TIRE OWNERS

I have a hard time picturing this. Do you happen to have photos?
  3. R1S Reviews Master List: Jalopnik, Inside EVs, TFL, etc

I wonder how many of them had full size spare. If Camera man was carrying those in an ICE or in an R1T. Or if they got out with the small spare or with no spare. As more footage of R1S comes out in boonies, someone will get a blowout and it will be interesting to see what that looks like in a...
  4. Towing 7000 lbs 27' Trailer, ~ 130miles 3500ft Elevation Change

That absolutely sucks. I wish you a lot of patience. I am not sure how much silver lining there is here but at least this didn't happen on the way out. The more of these stories I read, the more I question if I have the stomach to be an early adopter. I hope things work out the best it can...
  5. Rivian R1T Door Construction Analysis: Sandy Munro Live

I am grateful they are making these videos but their reason in making these videos ( getting contracts to reduce cost) is completely different from my reason to watch them (learning how things work and how to disassemble/assemble different parts. I definitely do learn something from each but...
  6. R1T Rivian Service, Rescue & Recovery Vehicle (w/ Pullout Drawers From Gear Tunnel) -- TFL walkaround

There will be enough Lightnings with 240V on the road to get R1Ts to the nearest DCFC ;) kidding aside, I think there are aready businesses that are trying to corner that market.
  7. R1S Reviews Master List: Jalopnik, Inside EVs, TFL, etc

My earliest recollection has always been 7,700 lb but I am not an early reservation holder. the way I look at it, is that I wouldn't want to tow something too much heavier than the vehicle so I am OK with R1S keeping me in line. That said, I would love one of their engineers explaining what...
  8. R1T Rivian Service, Rescue & Recovery Vehicle (w/ Pullout Drawers From Gear Tunnel) -- TFL walkaround

No problem. You should be able to see these options in the bottom of each of your posts:
  9. R1S Reviews Master List: Jalopnik, Inside EVs, TFL, etc

Nice to see many of the colors in the same lighting at the same time. Thanks for sharing. No offense to R1T guys but the proportions of R1S is much more appealing to me. I definitely like the shorter (but not short) wheelbase. I assume that is contributing to lower towing capability. I am...
  10. R1T Rivian Service, Rescue & Recovery Vehicle (w/ Pullout Drawers From Gear Tunnel) -- TFL walkaround

It does look very functional however it may get noisy when you get off-road withe everything bouncing around. p.s. I loved that he said it may take hit on range ”but at least it is available “. I am not sure if it was a remark about Cybertruck or Silverado but I liked it. (Min 7)
  11. Buttons behind the door handles

It has to be either that or a button telling R1 the door handle is now closed .
  12. The Rivian R1S: What Do You Want To Know? Rivian's closed-back family hauler is coming soon, but our review is coming even sooner.

I want to see the spare and see if a drywall can fit inside and be moved with the back open.
  13. Limestone. It's real. Official from Rivian

Is this limestone or a color from future?
  14. What do you want addressed in the next OTA update?

I want a better patch to take the power leak bellow 200Wh/day. Even if it is a deep sleep mode that takes 15 minutes to wake up, I want an off button that works. That is the main issue that could keep me from going through with the order.
  15. A New EV Company Arrives This Week. It’s Worth More Than Rivian. (Polestar)

I don't quiet understand the Volvo polestar relationship. Volvo is looking at Hydrogen EV trucks. If they replace the logo on those things with Polestar, that could be a big commercial business.
  16. Are the ventilated seats wimpy or is it just my truck?

Don't have a personal experience but what you are wearing may make a difference. A YMCA style lather pants does not allow as much air flow (in either direction ;) as a cotton pants.
