If this is true it would explain why heat was fine when the battery was 50 degrees (today,) but underperformed yesterday when the battery was 27 degrees.
Scheduled departure doesn't work for me as I don't have a regular schedule. I do keep it plugged in at home, and if I know I'm going to leave, I pre-warm the cabin with the app.
Yesterday (the trip that prompted this post) , I was fresh out of the 50.1 update and wanted to try scheduled...
This would have been a combination of about 40 minutes total. 20 minutes of pre-conditioning (got up to 42 degrees), and then 20 minutes of driving that got the cabin up to maybe mid 50s. It's also not the first time it has struggled like this, but this was the first time it was significantly...
Yea, I think that probably proves I've got something wrong. I'm regularly on max temp "HI" to be comfortable. If you've never seen it, something is off.
I did. I was on "HI" the entire time. I did try lowering it to 77 and then 80 to see if something would change, but it remained the same lukewarm temperature.
2023 R1S with 5,000 miles, running 2023.50. This cold snap going through the country has exposed either an issue with my SUV, or a problem with the design in general.
Yesterday it was -5, and a 20 minute procondition (via the app) got the cabin from 12 degrees, to 42 degrees indicated on the...
No, I'm not wrong, and you're incapable of reading comprehension, I guess. Just because the designed the turn signal sound to be special doesn't mean it's a high quality recording.
There is static that you can distinctly hear, coming from the speaker, in between the thumps of the turn signal...
New vehicles are sold as new all the time with previously repaired damage. It's still "new" until it is titled to someone. I bought a 2019 Yukon that had the rear 1/3rd repainted. Some damage or something happened, and they fixed it prior to placing it for sale. I didn't notice until I got home...
Romex is technically not code on a 60a breaker running 48a circuit. However, many inspectors will allow it, and the local inspector is the one who has final decision on the install. This is extremely common in CA and other EV dense areas, which is why so many electricians push Romex. It's also...
Why would the rear defog? I don't know of any car on earth that has defog on the rear window.
It's running the heating elements in the glass for defrost, there aren't any vents there.
Yes. Best to not do anything that isn't reversible. You can install the sliders and keep the plastic off, instead of cutting it.
I'd be more concerned with damage from rock crawling, than cutting the plastic, however.
Mine is the same, and I'm almost certain this is correct. The way the trim piece wraps around the door edge, I don't think it's a problem at all, besides the noise. I think it is a design that won't fall off, because the trim wraps around, and the "sticky" noise is tape. I'm not concerned at all.
