Seems this would be a very good use case for an ability to use the suspension system to raise just one side of the truck, essentially leveling it out and making it less likely to slide towards or off the ledge.
Regarding NAV...
Seems to me they should do something along the lines of what web developers call "lazy loading".
The idea of lazy loading is to provide the most essential info as soon as possible and add the supplemental information either in the background or only as needed.
So, with Nav...
I'm fine with the LTE. It make sense. I absolutely do not like it being exclusive to AT&T. And I really think there should be an option to route data connections through a plugged in phone.
hmmm... So, a 250 pound man would have to be careful since the stepping up and potential bouncing temporarily adds even more weight. And such a man wouldn't be able to carry much weight with him to put up on a roof rack.
Great! So now, in addition to saving up to afford one of these, I need to...
Great questions. A few disappointing answers (as you said).
No usb for audio seems like a big miss with an easy fix.
Forcing AT&T is a big downside.
Slow map routing is baffling.
But I love the rest.
Geo fenced and speed limited valet. Brilliant.

Really? You read about these two getting stuck in the sand dunes and your takeaway is that you'd really love trying out dune running? :)
I'm not making fun of you. It's just that my takeaway from hearing they got stuck is that I never want to try dune running!
I'm not an avid car buyer. I don't follow much car news. I was recently excited about getting a Telluride but am now excited about getting a Rivian.
And I'm being honest when I say that the Amazon deal built credibility and confidence in Rivian in my mind. I normally dismiss car startups...
I believe the Amazon deal is a huge positive and worth it for US even if it causes a delay of consumer deliveries.
* The influx of capital means we get our cars way earlier than if Rivian had to trudge along on their own.
* Amazon logs millions of miles. Presumably all the driving data becomes...
From multiple reviews, it appears that Telluride has a very good LKAS with practically zero ping ponging, even around fairly tight curves -- assuming an easily identifiable set of lane lines.
So, if Kia can do it, Rivian should be able to.
For the past year or so, I've been obsessed with the Telluride -- and saving my pennies to afford one.
Then along comes Rivian and now it's all I can think about. It looks so amazing. And that big First Drive excursion with all the reviewers was just so motivating.
The long delivery time...
