I had a similar issue at an Ionna charger recently. Turns out I had changed the settings so that proximity lock only unlocked the driver’s door, and that apparently also left the charge port locked. Hitting the unlock icon on the screen released it, and all was good.
Interesting. The My Altitude app can also use map data, so I just switched it over, and that actually puts us even higher than either the barometric (~350’) or Rivian (~1,450’) data.
Ok, good to know it’s not just me. I don’t have a big problem with an inaccurate reading, it’s just the first time that I noticed it was pretty wildly off.
I just happened to check the elevation reading, and it appears to be off by over 1000’! It currently reads as 5,614, whereas the My Altitude app puts me at 6,725.
The lowest recorded elevation is within 8’ of the correct number, which seems like a reasonable margin, and the highest is pretty...
I agree, Santa Fe is definitely lacking. There’s an EA at Walmart, but I’ve usually had to charge in Albuquerque already if I’m coming from the south, so have barely ever used it.
Just pulled up to the new RAN chargers in Albuquerque, and there was a Rivian tech there working on them. He said they’re doing validation testing right now, and they should be online today!
I finally got sick of my PAAK barely working after it performed flawlessly for my wire yesterday, so I forgot my R1T from my phone’s Bluetooth, deleted my PAAK, and then set those two things back up. So far, things seem back to normal!
I haven’t, just because it hasn’t been a priority, and I was already planning to wait until I’d be close enough to go pick it up rather than have it shipped. I will be in a few weeks, so I guess I should get on that…
I don’t recall what the charger said, but the Rivian app gave me an error saying that I needed to update my payment method. To me, that would seem to suggest that the charger initiated some sort of payment handshake, but then rejected the car, which the app interpreted as payment being declined...
This is what I meant, sorry. Guess I could have been more clear.
I know that a unified payment method for charging was one of the last EV-related policies from the Biden administration, so perhaps this is related to that. 🤷♂️
Just plugged into an Electrify America charger for the first time in a while, and initially got an error message that I need to update my payment method in the Rivian app to charge. Unplugged and tried again, and it went back to the normal EA behavior.
A sign of things to come, or just a glitch?
I’ve also been experiencing this. For maybe two weeks or so, it almost never unlocks until I take my phone out of my pocket, open the app, and tap the unlock control. Even weirder, I’ve had it lock out of nowhere when I was standing right next to the truck unloading the bed.
