  1. 2025.18.01 installing! Have you received the update?

Both ABRP and Electrafi provide this. I don’t love giving my data to a 3rd party (ABRP is owned by Rivian, but isn’t as useful in this regard), but I have enjoyed having the tools. I’ve considered the possibility of creating an Electrafi alternative that can be easily self-hosted. Maybe I...
  2. 2025.18.01 installing! Have you received the update?

Yes. I have been on Connect+ for as long as it’s been a thing. Just luck of the draw, I guess. Or are people starting to drop off of it now? I forget when the initial free membership ends/ed.

Who’s ready to join the Coast Guard Youth Auxiliary? https://rivian.com/gear-shop/p/gear-guard-vest?sku=AP000760CRD004&lid=r4294sqsmsw2&utm_source=braze&utm_medium=email&utm_id=8b8f3f08-414c-46b6-b1f5-aa96abd24830&utm_dispatch_id=6846e8ea5ec31c5a17b512dd1a4f8701&braze_id=679934185bdcc800590fb74c
  4. 2025.18.01 installing! Have you received the update?

This is the first time that I’ve ever gotten an update quickly. Even with Connect+, itā€˜s usually taken a couple days of seeing other people install it before I can.
  5. 2025.18.01 installing! Have you received the update?

Yes, but that cuts both ways. Most people don’t actually need more security, and for those that do, real security is worth the added hassle. If it’s not worth the hassle to you, a PIN is probably also just a waste of your time.
  6. 2025.18.01 installing! Have you received the update?

This is obviously not a perfect comparison, but I charged yesterday at a Supercharger I’ve used only once before. The charges are a little too far separated in time and weather conditions weren’t the same, but in terms of SoC and kWh added, they’re actually surprisingly close. Definitely saw a...
  7. 2025.18.01 installing! Have you received the update?

Battery capacity is measured in kWh. kWh/minute gives you an easy to understand measure of how quickly you’re using up your charge. Yes, technically kW would give you the same information, but it adds complexity by changing the units involved from what you’re already using when looking at...
  8. 2025.18.01 installing! Have you received the update?

I’ll have to look through some old data later, but it definitely seems like I’m getting faster charging speeds now. This will be huge on road trips (and I’m leaving for a 2,000 mile drive next week).
  9. 2025.18.01 installing! Have you received the update?

Well, I can confirm that the charging screen in the iOS app is updated!
  10. 2025.18.01 installing! Have you received the update?

I mean, they explicitly said that charging should be faster on max packs, and that the change was due to improved thermal management. Keeping the battery cooler allows faster charging, thus changing the charge curve. As far as MFA: security is inherently inconvenient. That’s kinda the point...
  11. 2025.18.01 installing! Have you received the update?

This will probably be more interesting once I do some driving and charging…
  12. Carbon Dioxide levels inside cabin while using HVAC in Auto mode

I am shocked an appalled that a CO2 scrubber is not standard equipment on these vehicles!
  13. 2025.18.01 installing! Have you received the update?

Pretty excited for this new energy app. And the faster charging for my max pack!
  14. Gen 1 Vampire Drain (Possibly) Solved (or Hacked)

Oh good! I don’t know why, I just assumed the capacitor would look noticeably different…
  15. Gen 1 Vampire Drain (Possibly) Solved (or Hacked)

I’m installing a Cascadia 4x4 solar panel on my hood (Gen 1 R1T). The plan is to use it to charge an auxiliary LiFePO4 battery in the frunk, then use that to keep the AGM topped up with a DC to DC charger as well as providing auxiliary power for things like a powered cooler without hitting the...
