Difficult to answer:
1) LT/Traction for off-road
2) Efficiency (but certainly not expecting 2.4+)
3) balanced capabilities (not too bad in noise, wet grip, snow, comfort, handling) without worrying about being "great" at any of them.
There is no right choice. I've been looking for a tire that does it all, but it doesn't exist. Given a desire to not eat into my range (I'm on 20 ATs) I'm looking at the following (both LT 275/65 20):
Firestone Destination XT
Toyo ATIII EV:
I figure that since both are light (for an LT) they...
I think I got the 7/8. Haven't had to use it yet, but got one big enough for someone to pull me out, not just for me to pull someone else out. I have a strap as well if I need to pull someone who isn't really stuck.
Rhino Kinetic Rope
I think the 360 view is only shown on the regular version (not EV) but they look the same so I imagine they both can be mounted with either side in/out.
Maybe it doesn't matter, but it looks (from the 360 view at Toyo) like they made them the same on both sides such that you could mount them to have the chevrons face the same direction on both sides of the vehicle.
Sorry about that. I've never had a negative experience, either in purchase or service. In fact, when my 12V went out people went out of their way to make things right and did so in a friendly, empathetic manner. The problem with public services is that we don't all get the A+ employee, but I...
I prefer the nav and audio in my Rivian to that in our car with Apple CarPlay (by a small margin). This wasn't true at the time of purchase, but it is now. At least Rivian improves at a fairly quick pace. It will likely get even better in the future.
I also had Rivian charger issues (60amp circuit). I only had to drop to 44amps to get it to work without dropping the charge rate. Our MachE charges at its peak rate, no drops, but the handle does get warm (not hot). Our charger was installed by our electrician (also put in the subpanel). It...
I must say that I love the sound of the Apple Music app. It's a good addition. Yes, I wish I could download songs to avoid the problems associated with a lack of/slow signal: That is why all of my playlists are downloaded on my phone. However, I've been playing lower quality bluetooth sound for...
I drove mine for weeks after noticing water (and drying it) but it did fail on me during a vacation. I wish I had seen these posts when I noticed the water so that I would know that I was heading towards a 12V failure and HVAC replacement.
I guess what I'm saying is ... maybe you'll be ok, but...
Good news and bad news
Good news: Looks light - says 53lbs for 275/65R20
Bad News: Looks expensive (then again, what tires aren't).
Annoying news: Bridgestone seems to only list 22" wheel for Rivian.
I had the same thing. Truck bricked when heat came on endlessly (overnight) and drained 12V. They replaced 12V and HVAC. Hope yours makes it to the appointment - if not they'll tow it in.
My Rivian Home Charger is doing the same thing (or my R1T is). Things got a little weirder today with this message popping up (see image). I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be charged idle fees at home - :CWL:
I haven't put it a ticket yet, but I'm a little concerned that something odd is going on...
Initially it bothered me that my texts weren't automatically read to me. I've gotten used to asking "Siri, what's my message" and responding (or not) to the messages I receive. I've also gotten used to asking for playlists to be played - there was a learning curve on remembering to ask for it...
I'm excited about Shoshone, but Rivian really needs to put one in Borrego Springs to support adventuring. I do feel for people in other states, but there are a lot of Rivians in CA and they have filled in some important gaps in the charging landscape. I'm assuming they don't have anything in the...
