I'm in agreement with those who find the test a bit silly due to the perpendicular strike at high speed from a heavy vehicle. I've seen a lot of guard rails that a truck has broken through. Seems like you could do the test in an old F250 or F350 and save a ton of $$.
I also agree that the only...
Arrived yesterday. No damage, easy to install. Seems to work fine. New packaging is definitely good, we'll see how it holds up to use., though I doubt I'll remove it often. Happy to have it.
Yes, I'd like the owl, but the organ is cool and fitting.
I'd love RBG control. I don't use ambient lighting because it is too bright, but I might use red on low if it were regularly available.
Personally, I think Rivian should make themes, sounds etc... microtransactions. If they can generate...
There aren't a lot of lower priced models on lots. Even for affordable models, it is difficult to find a lower-priced trim. I've been shopping for a second EV. Next year should be better for consumers like myself who are looking at the lower end of the scale for their first or second EV. If...
I had a '67 in High School. I'm not sure it was my favorite, but we had some times in it for sure. Great car, great boat, seats 8 pretty easy while doing 125. :CWL:
Looks like lots of food in the area. Kabuki, Yardhouse, and apparently a Pho Kim Long :CWL:
Holy crap. Shoshone is going to be a great location. Now they just need to fix Titus Canyon as Death Valley trips keep getting easier.
It seems like it could tell you if the spot you have parked on would be suitable for auto-leveling or if it is to extreme for the truck to compensate. That could be handy, though it's done a good job on some pretty uneven stuff so far.
Despite the current state of charging infrastructure, my road trips have been pretty easy and enjoyable in the R1T. They may take a little longer than they did in our 4Runner, but they are more relaxing and it sure as hell drives a lot better.
Our R1T (late December delivery, 12K miles) has been in service once for a minor panel gap. Our camp speaker didn't charge/lock until it had been removed/placed serval times and fixed itself. The biggest problem we've had is that we've put miles on it faster than any car we've ever owned and...
Of course you can also go with Snow mode if you want less pedal response and regen. I wouldn't use it, but I did on some seriously icy roads and was happy to have it (right after the update that added it).
Rain has been pretty light in Ventura. We must be getting only the edge of it.
No complaints on 20" ATs on a brief trip out or other times in more rain/snow.
I'm hoping the original post was more tongue in cheek that accusatory. I'm not a huge subway fan, but they sell food and sometimes that's what you need. I've eaten Del Taco in mine and I wouldn't call it fine Mexican dining, but it worked in that moment (though there is one on I-5 that makes...
I wonder how easy it would be to replace this plastic piece with a metal one. Replacing the plastic rails that have broken (perhaps in shipping only) might be a bigger deal, but this seems like something that could be done cheap.
