  1. Gen 1 R1T Won't Wake, Won't Unlock, Won't Release EVSE Plug: What's Your Guess?

Partial update: 12-volt battery replaced by mobile technician Thursday; vehicle up and running after that. However, prior to the replacement, the Tualatin Service Center said they wanted me to bring in the vehicle after the replacement so that they could investigate one or more faults they...
  2. Gen 1 R1T Won't Wake, Won't Unlock, Won't Release EVSE Plug: What's Your Guess?

Rivian Service had me try turning off the breaker for more than a minute; no response from the vehicle after the EVSE rebooted.
  3. Gen 1 R1T Won't Wake, Won't Unlock, Won't Release EVSE Plug: What's Your Guess?

I'd love the same level of Gremlins that are in my 1996 Subaru, which is on only its third battery as it enters its fourth decade. And it still has never had brake work.
  4. Gen 1 R1T Won't Wake, Won't Unlock, Won't Release EVSE Plug: What's Your Guess?

Yes, Gen 1 (build was August or September 2023). No 12-volt warning, however. Tualatin Service Center called this morning (even offering an appt this afternoon); scheduled one for Thursday, after I return from fishing. Advisor did suggest they'd likely replace the 12-volt and see how things are...
  5. Gen 1 R1T Won't Wake, Won't Unlock, Won't Release EVSE Plug: What's Your Guess?

After 2+ years, I've learned not to be impatient. In any case, I'm not going to be able to fix the vehicle, so I'll let them do it (when they get around to it). (Also, I've read that there typically isn't power in the trailer socket this long after the vehicle shuts down--is that wrong? I did...
  6. Gen 1 R1T Won't Wake, Won't Unlock, Won't Release EVSE Plug: What's Your Guess?

This isn't a rant; it's mostly for my amusement (and possibly for yours) as I await an outcome. Anyone who correctly diagnoses the problem(s) gets a very expensive (but imaginary) prize. 2023 Gen 1 Quad R1T with about 32,000 miles. The vehicle is parked in the driveway with the EVSE plugged...
  7. Phantom Braking - Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) fires spontaneously

The only times this has happened to me have been due to (I believe) a shadow cast across a highway by an overpass on a sunny day while I'm using cruise control. If I remember to do so, I turn off automatic braking before driving (but I rarely remember to do so).
  8. Who has the most miles?

    Here's a start: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/100k-miles-thoughts-on-my-rivian-r1t-owners-review.52669/
  9. Rivian software is (still) an embarrassment and needs to get better fast before R2

I don't doubt that you have these concerns and that your vehicle doesn't behave the way you'd like it to in these seven areas. I can honestly say, however, that I have none of these seven concerns, in many cases because I don't use the "features" (Gear Guard, Apple Music, FM radio, kneel when...
  10. 1.4kWh Daily usage since .46 Update

If you were using only 0.3 kWh daily, then you have a somewhat unusual vehicle, I think. My Gen 1 2023 R1T Quad has pretty consistently been at 1% daily (about 1.3 kWh) all along. In any case, FWIW, I haven't observed a change since the most recent update.
  11. Tailgate “Not Working” warning…except it’s closed and locked, just fine.

FWIW, my tailgate latches have been replaced twice. (I don't have a power tonneau.) My suggestion: Go ahead and file a ticket, upload the photo, and schedule an appointment. When you get back to the truck, do a reset and see whether the message comes back during the three months you're waiting...
  12. 20" Inch Toyo Open Country A/T III EV 275/65/20 116H tires review

TH Motorsports is the site where I found them for $347 in July; they're showing the same price as Tire Rack (about $410) right now, however. Guessing you can get $100 off (for four) somewhere around Christmas/New Year's.
  13. 20" Inch Toyo Open Country A/T III EV 275/65/20 116H tires review

From the FWIW Department: Just had the tires rotated at 5,500 miles. Tread seemingly is even at 12/32 (new tread is supposedly 13.5/32). Per the vehicle, efficiency is 2.32 miles/kWh for those 5,500 miles. (This is for July-October, so warm weather driving.) Efficiency for the original...
