To be fair I don’t see it in the gear shop… I merely saw the picture associated with the gear shop. I badly wish I could see things in the gear shop that others don’t, such as a camp kitchen for instance.
In a very Subaru-esque move, Rivian is apparently planning to sell a Rivian branded dog collar and harness. This picture is up on their website.
I don’t see it in the gear shop yet, but I’m sure some of our dogs will s00n have Rivian swag.
I completely agree. I was told the same thing by my guide. I told her that I would like to be an added voice to have them reconsider. I am willing to pay the full post March 1 price even though I was a pre March 1 order. My suggestion to everyone else who was not allowed the option to have a...
I 100% agree. I have had my truck for 4 weeks and this charger was added on day 2. It works well and feels like it belongs there. I use it every day. Also the peeps at s00nish are great people.
I have 2 wallbox chargers installed in my garage that can load share… although you would need a j1772 to Tesla adapter. Mine is currently charging a R1T and the other is for my wife’s future R1S. I think both chargers would have to be the same brand/model so the communication wire can...
This is normal. I’m in the 8 steps now too. I’m still waiting for my truck to be delivered to the service center (supposed to be today). Then once they finish prepping it for delivery your last step will unlock. It has been about a month since my steps opened. Insurance (AAA) won’t add...
A totally fair and expected response. In the past I’ve been accused of being a “glass half empty kind of guy.” It looks like I have a good chance of taking delivery by the end of March but I will still be shocked if there is any tonneau cover on the truck when I pick it up. I honestly don’t...
My guide did not tell me about when the new powered tonneau would be in production. The only thing that was said about powered tonneau covers was in response to my question about future retrofits from manual to powered tonneau. The answer was: “ Since it needs to be produced within the vehicle...
I took a screenshot of the original post and sent it to my guide. That was my exact configuration but now can’t get powered tonneau. My truck is in transit now. My guide told me that truck is an old build where the purchase fell through and that there are no new builds with powered tonneau...
I am also disappointed with the description of the manual tonneau cover. The fact that there is no way to pass through gear guard cables and there is no way to access the bed without dropping the tailgate shows a surprising lack of vision and creativity on Rivian’s part.
You’ve mentioned this...
Count me in. Most of us waited for [well] over a year [or two, or three] for our truck/suv. I’m sure we can be respectful of your time. Let us know when it goes on sale.
Fantastic. Are there any pictures of the various options in the R1S and R1T? I’d be curious to know how the various skins look next to the wood. Perhaps others on this forum could share how their chargers look installed on their trucks. I am going to get one, I’m just not sure which one will...
I totally agree. I am adding to the speculation based on what my guide told me. However since Rivian is being less than totally transparent, this forum seems to be the home for all of us to express what Rivian has told us. Who knows what they will ultimately come up with and release. I just...
Based on what my guide told me, this is not going to happen. The manual tonneau cover will be 4 interlocking panels. They will be in the tracks or not attached to the truck at all. There is no way to access the bed of the truck without dropping the tailgate with the manual tonneau cover...
No problem. If it functions the same with the nozzle lock and fits in the original bag, that is what is important. I’m still happy to get you 1/15th of the way to your goal.
Brilliant! I just put in an order for 2 of the hose winders. Now my s00n to arrive R1T and my wife’s much later R1S will have one. Thanks for coming up with a simple and practical solution to a problem. Keep it up.
