I have a Kia EV6 GT-L FE with the 800 Volt, 350Kw capability. After 40k miles in long distance travel, the only 350kW chargers are from EA. They have a 50% chance of working above 150 Kw. Design or local power company restrictions aside.
Bottom line. My travels with Rivian or my Kia have...
Not bad advice. I have found that lower level drivers are spoty, but they are "accurate" at the top end - where it is necessary - not necessarily at lower levels where we don't care.
If you go with the 14-50 receptacle, it is imperative that you get a quality socket such as Bryant or Hubbell - not the $20 box store socket. And torque the connections.

I have “waved” for years but the acknowledgements decreased as the vehicle population increased - no longer unique. And as the Rivian population increased, so did the single digit salutes increase from “coal burners” and 95 decibel Mustangs. (Maybe a couple times after “shutdown” ;) ).
I got my update. Central California. I'm charging to 100% for possible V2L necessity for the impending pineapple express. If I have the L2 bug I will know soon.
Update: 100% on L2 with no issues. Here come da rain!
Still no option for putting other features on the driver screen. Like odometer, trip gauge (like other cars have had for a generation) and elevation because it helps establishing usage. Must be beyond their programing ability.
I do have a 2026. Perhaps it has improved. Sounds like I need a Winter road trip to check it out. I'll take a run up to Tahoe and let you know. We don't have humidity but the summer temp can hit 105.
