I have the 48amp Lectron adapter from Tesla to J1772
Been using since December and no issues. I separate the adapter from the Tesla connector occasionally and no over heating of the connections visually noted
I note when charging for 5 hours or more the connector where it attached to Tesla...
Personally I am hoping one of our aftermarket companies that have designed products such as superior running boards would either offer an upgrade kit to retrofit the existing mechanical tonneau system or a completely new tonneau replacement that would be plug and play
Realize we have all paid...
New buyers should demand a checklist of QA’d items with the inspectors initials. No reason the buyer should have to inspect a new vehicle as quality should be assumed.
Makes one question if Rivian understands the concept of Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
Sloppy mistakes such as this interior mismatch will cause the company to fail
Hope they get their act together before buyers lose confidence in the company
If you are asking why is there a button on both sides of the left stalk for lights and wipers it’s so you can easily move choices up or down on the screen. It’s the same button on front and rear simply place your finger on one side and thumb on the other and move your choices up or down for...
Same here Pirelli 21’s and no vibration. Large tires can be a challenge to balance. They can also have been manufactured with high spots. I have used active balancing beads when all else fails. I don’t like it but you add a packet of special beads to the tire before you assemble and air it up...
I second that! I have not heard anything about the company you are asking. But I have the EV Sportline running boards on my R1T and they are extremely high quality. Go with a sure thing
Can’t disagree. But again I compare to Tesla and Elon who had a dream and worked to make it happen. Look at what Rivian does have in place after a few years in the design phase
actually I personally wish Tesla would become involved to some degree with Rivian and as many crazy things he does...
Ignore the opinions of so called experts. Tesla was in a really bad position in 2015/2016 and almost failed. All the so called experts predicted they were going to go bankrupt.
if Rivian works on improving quality (same issue Tesla had back in 2015/2016) they will succeed and be an EV truck...
Just a thought if the liquid leaking is not condensate water but possibly battery coolant it could contain glycol which is poisonous to animals. May want to clean it up just in case.
My R1t is very noticeable for about 60 seconds or so after I place into drive and begin moving after it has been in kneel mode until the air tank re-pressurizes. Then silence. Sound is more from rear of vehicle than front.
If the noise only lasts for a minute or so it and you only notice it...
Hard to tell from video clip. If you just started driving especially if vehicle was in kneel mode I would say that might be the sound of the suspension air compressor recharging the air storage tank. A properly operating air conditioning system especially if operating in a humid climate will...
I use a Tesla Gen 2 wall connector and with the $150 Lectron 48amp Tesla to J1772 adapter my R1t charges fine at the max 48 amps the truck is designed to accommodate
Careful teams. On ICE vehicles it was customary to disconnect 12 volt battery and then wait 5 minutes for the airbag backup capacitors to drain. Have no idea how to disarm airbags on our Rivian’s. Other than slicing the emergency cut link under the frunk. Beside the possibility of serious...
High strength Loctite would be red. Normally you would use medium strength (blue) which does not require heat for removal. Pretty unusually to use red on vehicle assembly. Even on engine assembly I have only used blue so I could get the bolts out if ever required
I completely agree. First a propane torch is not much of a heat source as the bolt in question has a large head which will dissipate heat nicely and is long and to warm the tip of the threads that contain the thread lock would be very difficult. Also the fact that they may now be heat marks on...
Assume first you are using a 1/2” breaker bar. If so sometimes putting a section of metal pipe over the end of the breaker bar will extend the bar giving you more leverage will do the job. Also keeping constant increasing pressure on the bar and not bumping it on and off may work. They are tight!!
