It says if you change the configuration it will "take us some time to make a new estimate."
I wonder what that means, will they simply just run updates once a month? Quarter? Curious how it works.
This is definitely the most positive feeling I've had about Rivian in awhile. Glad they took this step and kept it at $100.
Now let's see some legit R1S deliveries!
I thought Rivian had been delivering production model R1S’s to customers since before the December 2021 earnings call.?!? How is this invite to be the first to see it?!?!
I struggle to see how the SEC has any regulatory impact on the markets if it lets stuff like this slide. Amazing what...
At current burn rate, Rivian will need to raise real money long before the GA plant produces a vehicle. They need to find a way to churn out more, wait on GA or issue lots more shares. It’s not going to be pretty.
Ok
I don’t think asking a company to be honest or meet its own deadlines is a big ask.
Early June a Rivian email said updates for anyone kicked into 2023 within a week. Then after they missed that they said 2 more weeks.
After missing that 2 week window all they offer is a 6 month window...
the original promise was within 2 weeks of June 10. So they missed this promise too plus like 3 others.
Plus, giving everyone left over a 6 month window is a joke and not meaningful.
Board should demand replacing more of management.
Also, let’s not forget that on June 10 they would tell anyone whose window was delayed until 2023 an update within 2 weeks.
They missed that when they clearly could have sent this out weeks ago.
For me it’s hard to justify any trust in the company.
I imagine with supply chain and inflation I’ll keep my reservation and buy even if I just flip it immediately because I get something from another company.
It is not an OC interior issue.
I have a LE R1S with BM interior and got the same window.
I was expecting 2023 but a 6-month window is a joke.
I may get my 2024 BEV Range Rover Sport first.
The way the emails were written, Rivian should have sent updates within 2 weeks of June 10 to anyone with:
1. preorder holders expected to take delivery in 2022,
2. as well as those who previously received a delivery window in 2022 but have since pushed later.
My Nov. 2021 window for an R1S...
Somewhere one of the reviewers said embargo lifts on July 6.
I don’t think they want positive reviews matched with bad news the same day. Bury bad news heading into holiday weekend and then have reviews after the holiday.
There is no statement from Rivian that you can trust.
I wouldn’t trust a statement from a Guide, CS or the Communcations team that claimed the sky is blue at this point. They are full of intentional obfuscation at best.
I’d encourage anyone that holds Rivian stock to vote against any Exec...
It would be very Rivian to bury a significant delay for the R1S on July 1 - late into the evening on the east coast - heading into a holiday weekend.
Then hope positive reviews on July 6 cover up most of the negative attention.
Has anyone received an updated timeline this week?
There were a flurry of updates after Tony's email on June 11 but I haven't heard of more coming in.
It seems that Rivian again seems intent on failing to meet its 2 week window of updating folks (which is the third such miss on updates since...
You are the first Nov 2020 reservation holder I have heard of.
last Saturday they said updates over two weeks so I haven’t emailed or chatted CS yet but if Monday comes without an update - which is the third failed self-imposed deadline Rivian would miss in 6-weeks- then I am going apoplectic...
Quote edited by me to cut off full question
It doesn’t matter how you finish that question. The last 9-months show the answer is always “No.” (Only exception maybe IPO timing).
