The good news (if there is any) is that they didn't deliver a lemon to you. The other good news is that there seems to be a lot of R1S' in the shop and they are shipping them out rather quickly. So you might be on the road rather quickly. Good luck.
Guessing this was installed incorrectly when they were working on your defective liftgate. But the tech work on it should have had instructions with "test wiper" after putting everything back together.
And if anyone is wondering... it looks like (based on the location on the map) the Redmond SC will either be on Willows road near 124th... or 124th between the Toyota dealership and Willows road (there's lots of existing buildings they could use)
The Bellevue SC is just WAY undersized for the volume... the coffee shop across the street has more footprint that Rivian. They were so many old dealerships they could have purchased (the GMC dealer off of 124th and 405, the Chevy dealer on 85th (that Google was purchasing and then backed out...
I think RJ needs the quarterly delivery numbers to look good... so rhey are going all in for the next few weeks. I just wish mine was getting the same treatment!!
Since I am just sitting around waiting for my R1S to ship... below is what I came up with as a possibility on what is going on.
1) for those "I picked it from the Store and it was on a truck in 48 hours:" people pick a VIN when it first shows up in the shop (possible the vehicle is rolling down...
My guide is awesome and very responsive, he gives me an update every 2 days. As of Friday evening it was still "factory gated". Still waiting for an update this morning to see if anything changed over the weekend. I also stopped by my local SC (it is by my office) and they were super helpful...
I'm not having quite the same level of luck on the "things happening quickly" as the rest of you. Picked my R1S on 5/26 and so far it hasn't moved from Normal :-/... still sitting there "factory gated". Not sure if they simply haven't had a transport to Bellevue or if there is something else...
I think today's pricing is great.. it's a deal. We are moving to it from an Etron S (and an SQ8 before that) thr Rivian is a deal at today's pricing. I just hope Rivian can keep the new orders coming in with all the "used" options undercutting a new ones.
I am curious to see what happens when all the current pre-price hike preorders are delivered. The number of people taking delivery, taking the $7500 and selling for $20k more than they paid and pocketing $~$20-30k) has to be killing Rivian's future order banks. How can Rivian keep the order...
I sort of wonder if Rivian is trying to give priority to customers who appear to truly love the brand and want to drive their vehicles vs. the people who want to take delivery so that they can make a quick buck. All the resales and flippers can't be helping Rivian. If so, I get it, but I don't...
