Yeah, my delivery guy yesterday said they haven’t seen a single build without the full power cover. I bet that will hold up a build for now.

I got the vibe they did tell people before their delivery but they just didn’t have enough inventoty elsewhere to correct it all quickly. My guess is they asked people if they would be okay without it but who knows. That’s all just guessing.

Keep in mind this is probably a temporary thing. I bet if you really needed one your guide or service would find a way. They have a can do attitude toward problems. I just don’t think you’ll be able to go to your local centerand grab one off the shelf or Order it in the online store for a bit.

update: that truck in Sandy’s video definitely does not have the reinforced shield. That plastic plate is the regular on-road underbody, for sure.

Maybe? Tony has said they are working to bring up volumes to cut costs and build faster. Who knows, maybe costs will neutralize or go down if they can get to true scale. It may be wishful thinking though.

Oh I totally agree. It’s completely frustrating. It’s a terrible spot to be in for both parties. The answer is to build more faster!
