Just went through the video. Here's my list of updates from the video for my R1T that was built 11/23:
5:30 - Center panel when removed doesn't have clips anymore, appears to just be double sided tape.
5:58 - The two TP55 bolts you remove here need to be reinsterted once you remove the black...
I'm pretty positive on this without calling because when I get back under the truck I can see the spot where the bolts were supposed to be with the hook when you go slide them in.
They really need to update these instructions. I shouldn't have to be looking through the forums this much for...
Going to come back to this and provide more feedback when I'm done, but this isn't just the R1S, the bolts on the triangle connector need to be removed AND put back in with the 1/2" gap. Now I have to pull one of the sliders off to put these two TP55 bolts back in. The video shows them...
@DCE did we ever get a consensus if this is still correct? Seeing reports of the TP55 snapping at 95 ft-lbs and other companies recommending around 80 ft-lbs.
Even if you put a ton of miles on it, it shouldn't be an earth shatering amount to pay the excess mileage at the end if you're really unhappy, and still cheaper than buying and selling.
I can't imagine this would be hard to implement. I'd assume that its just matching VIN to account, so you just need to a way to manually add a list of VINs.
These are on sale for $1799 right now.
Annoyed since my order from 5 weeks ago still isn't ready, and the website is still quoting 2-4 weeks, but hopefully someone can take advantage of this sale.
