Sorry if I wasn't clear in my meaning.
If you visit their website https://www.telotrucks.com/
they have a big banner that reads "Urban Adventure Vehicles" yet none of the 3 accompanying photos shows the vehicle in an urban environment.
IMHO, that is a mixed marketing message.
I don't mean...
I think it's great to have diversity in the EV marketspace to fit a variety of needs and tastes.
However, at $41k for the yet-to-be-produced, bare-bones single-motor base model, these are not priced competitively. There are many EV's in that price range from well-established companies. None...
I do have to chuckle a bit at their web site, which calls them "Urban Adventure Vehicles" while showcasing them in outdoor settings. Bit of a mixed message.
. Thought this was interesting.

Happy with my R1T, but this makes a good use case for other needs, reduced cost, and novel design.
Thanks so much, Alex, for the update email you just sent out. Everything looks amazing.
I'm afraid I haven't been following _all_ of the posts on this thread, and I didn't see it in the email... What do you estimate the unit price to be?
Looks like generic.
Side rails would definitely cover up controls from gear tunnel and tailgate.
No reviews whatsoever and no photos of it on an actual R1T
I have the Ohmmu lithium battery in my gen 1 R1T and have been quite happy with it. Not saying that @mudito is incorrect; just another data point. I would clarify that there is apprehension among owners about it due to fears over warranty impacts.
In any event, I agree that this is something...
Hey, great job!
Clever way to get past the issue of sagging boards, since anything thing enough to fit in the tonneau slots would tend to deform under gravity over the width of the bed. We have seen other DIY tonneaus reinforced with metal channel below the boards/panels for stiffness. Your...
Likely some kind of packaging or an alignment tool, then. They have done an extraordinary job of putting part numbers on anything that is part of the vehicle
I see that iKamper has a Tacoma version, which has mounting challenges similar to the R1T, and is taller in height.
At ~$1500, the iKamper is about $1000 less than the Extrusion Overland R1T. No idea if that is an apples to apples comparison re quality and capability.
That looks great.
Imagine that would fit right out of the box, assuming that the width is adjustable.
Looks like you would just need to fab some anchors to lock into the R1T tonneau slot.
If it is a Rivian part, it should have the part number stamped into it somewhere (or on a sticker rarely). Look closely.
My first impression is that it might be some sort of mounting bracket for a charging adapter?
Just returning from CC to San Antonio today. We have a boat in the harbor.
Will keep an eye out for you.
Get a $12 beach pass so you can drive your rivy right out on the beach.
When I got my R1T, I dropped by a local Rivian space and made friends. They were able to pull up the original bill of sale with all options from the VIN.
From what you describe it sounds like you may have a broken cable connector in the bottom latch release. This was the case on my R1T when I got it. They used plastic for the tab where steel would be stronger.
You should be able to get to the underside of the tub by putting the suspension to...
Thanks.
I have used a Ceracoat ceramic product on all of the cladding and it looks great.
This is actually the fascia just below the grill, which seems to be of a different material.
