  1. Charging at home in Phoenix - I'm seeing a lot of auxiliary power used during charging

10% roughly - looks similar. I wonder what is consumed by the car symbol. I also wonder what the fan means - AC + fan cooling or just fan cooling? In either case, I'm not alone sadly. I notice you have a model Y too. Having a model Y spoils us software wise, but that is a topic for another...
  2. Charging at home in Phoenix - I'm seeing a lot of auxiliary power used during charging

Looking for other 100+ degree areas to see if they are getting that much sucked away too.
  3. Charging at home in Phoenix - I'm seeing a lot of auxiliary power used during charging

Just wondering if this is normal. Garage is about 100 F. I try to do this at 5 am when temperatures are mildest. Example: 12.5 kWh used to give 10.0 kWh to the battery and 2.5 kWh for ?? I can only assume ?? = cooling power. Is this normal or should I have the service people take a look...
  4. Ionna Chargers not yet showing up on the Nav maps - any idea when they might show up?

I really want Rivian to succeed. I have a decent stock position in them, but I fear they are making too many mistakes. Recent example: My 12 V battery died after 6 months, and now there is a recall on gen 2 R1Ss because they think the 12 V battery clamp may be causing premature failure. Again...
  5. Ionna Chargers not yet showing up on the Nav maps - any idea when they might show up?

When they are in partnership, absolutely! But it is Rivian - I don't expect anything from them regarding software anymore.
  6. Ionna Chargers not yet showing up on the Nav maps - any idea when they might show up?

I'm belly-aching about the wrong stuff. Yes, forget about showing chargers along way, but insteasd get your guys to fix faulty "no key detected", or not charging when I turn scheduled charging on, or lane keep on surface streets, or Alexa flaking out when asked to do something, or the songs...
  7. Preview of new Energy app in 2025.18 + revived talk of V2V / V2H bi-directional charging

It is a mapped trip - you only get that with a mapped trip. It also estimates wind resistance effects. I'm just saying that their range estimation for trips you are in the process of taking is quite realistic and accurate.
  8. Preview of new Energy app in 2025.18 + revived talk of V2V / V2H bi-directional charging

Tesla's will show the predicted uphill and downhill effects on the range for the entire segment. As you drive, it'll show your actual range and can see if you are better or worse than the expected graph. This is very nice. I wish Rivian had this.
  9. Ionna Chargers not yet showing up on the Nav maps - any idea when they might show up?

I was hoping something would be updated in the latest firmware release which I just installed last night but no. Interesting that a lowly chargepoint station shows up in Wilcox (which is very valuable to know) but no iONNA yet. Both iONNA and this chargepoint location in Wilcox are valuable to...
  10. Ionna Chargers not yet showing up on the Nav maps - any idea when they might show up?

The iONNA charger in Wilcox Ax is a great location. Wish it would show up as a charger. Anyone know when these will be recognized as a charging option in the Car Nav/Charging locations?
  11. Software Team Needs a Revamp

I've observed many people take their own personal experiences and project that the experience must surely apply to the majority of others. It is perfectly legit for everyone to say, "this is what I have observed", but one can only then generalize if one conducts an unbiased survey with a large...
  12. Software Team Needs a Revamp

Our 2024 Model Y HW4 (1.5 yrs old) only has the standard sound system - no upgrade. It sounded OK to me until I got the R1S...
  13. Software Team Needs a Revamp

Didn't read all of these threads as it quickly ballooned to 9 pages, but coming from a Tesla 2015 model S with only a backup camera visible to me (front camera is in place, but I don't get to view what it views) and a bunch of radar sensors and a HW4 model Y, I miss the useability of the Tesla...
  14. Rivian software stability is a real issue we don't talk about

Oh yes, and having to manually turn the cameras on when I'm parking. Add that to the list.
  15. Rivian Autonomy Platform+ Trial Extended (Subscription Start Delayed)

Agree - can't even match what my model S could do in 2015. Very unimpressive. Get something that works before asking for subscriptions.
  16. Rivian software stability is a real issue we don't talk about

Coming from a Tesla, I'm really disappointed in the Rivian software on my Gen 2 R1S. Sometimes I can't start the car because it doesn't see my phone. Opening the garage door is a 50-50 chance. Remembering my seat position on easy access settings (or remembering to lower me) has gotten better...
  17. Rivian HANDS FREE ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM is coming 2025 + EYES OFF SYSTEM in 2026 -- Per CEO RJ SCARINGE

The last free trial version of software V13.whatever on our 2024 model Y was quite amazing and a big leap over V12.x. It is very very close. Let's see how the CyberCab goes in Austin this summer - that should give everyone a realistic view of how polished it is.
