What does this say about production ramp that relatively early guide contacts are being told January for delivery?

Do you think they will go in reverse order of the areas for R1S delivery? Don’t think I’ve heard of anyone in Pennsylvania being contacted yet.

I’d say the delivery timeframe is way more than a bit disappointing. If the first group of R1T deliveries aren’t going out until January, I think I can just about give up my dream of seeing an R1S in my garage. :-(

Is it just me or does the woman in the middle of the camp fire/toasty marshmallow photo look like she just got off the phone with Rivian Customer Service?

I asked this question to them on Facebook and they responded that the at-home test drives are for any location and not tied to the tour cities.

Rivian did confirm on Facebook that at-home test drives won’t have to correspond with the “tour cities”.

I asked the question about at home test drives aligning with the initial cities.

Just to be a contrarian I’m going to predict hell flying and pigs freezing over.

Lining up 3 in a row is a recipe for disaster. The way my minivan is currently configured is 2 car seats in the 3rd row and one in the 2nd. Having an open seat for an adult (grandparent) in the second row is invaluable.

I have twins. The oldest is 2 years older. All are going to be in car seats for at least another year or 2.

This is unfortunate news for people with more than 2 kids still in car seats (me). I remember asking about ISOFIX attachments when I placed my preorder and was told the plan was to include them in the third row. To me, this is a miss for Rivian.

I’m sure a few unfortunate Packers fans will select the yellow/green combo…
