My front half Shafts already struggle with full acceleration in all purpose mode.
Sport mode in standard ride height is screaming for front half Shafts issues.
really looking forward to this:
Ability to adjust drive modes, ride height, ride feel, and brake regen while Adaptive Cruise Control and Universal Hands Free are active
Upgraded to Unreal Engine 5.5 for smoother animations and improved rendering
I would’ve as well. But it was in turtle mode… with the drivers safety system off
Hopefully it’s a one off. But submitted service request with the diagnostic timestamp.
Just downloaded myself. About 1GB. Gonna see how long it takes to install. Did anyone install it yet? I have a drive coming up tonight and want to know if I can afford enough time to install it beforehand.
FYI - you can force your car to check for update, and download it by just “locking” it...
Two hard resets so far on this release
1) “parking sensors temporarily unavailable” tried infotainment first, then full restart.
2) next day, none of the drivers visualizations worked. Only truck showed and no lines or other cars… did full restart.
otherwise all good!
I don’t think they hit the “stop rollout button” fast enough personally.
I wonder it was only subset of vehicles that got wired incorrectly during manufacturing or they truly just f’ed up the software polarity? Whatever it is they clearly don’t want talk about it since it seems like such a...

They either stoped rollout over weekend. Or they are waiting for the L2 charging fix before pushing out to the 25% connect+ who didn’t get the update. I hope they indeed do the latter. Best software practices.
Someone just updated on Reddit that they called support, and they pushed another update to the car.
I’m curious if it’s actually different build or they are pushing the same update to ensure all the modules get flashed correctly.
so after some testing. Unfortunately seems they removed the “loophole” there is no more “hands-on, eyes-off (Unmonitored)”
True to the name UHF. What only exists is the hands-off, eyes-on (monitored). Regardless of if you have hands on the steering wheel during UHF.
Same issue as “everyone else” with carkey. Got email. Started setup. Failed. It prompted me to delete phone keys. Done that. App says I’m not in my car even though I am.
Restarting R1s and iPhone. Manually deleted phone key from Rivian app again.
CarKey wallet pop up showed up. But stuck in...
Just installed. Waiting for carkey activation… but in meantime. The sound system really is much better! I wonder why they didn’t call it out in the release notes maybe it was an embarrassing fix
@Dark-Fx @Budman
Does the UHF engage even with hands on the steering wheel? And does it still require eyes on road monitoring even with hands on wheel? If so, that’s a feature loss for us :(
