I'm also glad they argued for having the steering wheel controls to move the mirrors and steering wheel. Yes, I absolutely hate it and it's not intuitive and is a pain in the ass to have to use. I thought it was going to be a pain point for me but It's never been an issue because I set it one...
Actually ABRP knows my truck better than the R1T does. I've done a few 500+ mile road trips using ABRP via CarPlay on a screen I installed and ABRP was 100% accurate the entire way, where the Rivian's nav was all over the board on if I'd make it, how much I would have when I got there, etc. It...
How quick it is, but elegantly quick. I’ve owned numerous SRT’s and they all scream and aren’t easy to drive like a normal adult. The R1T is easy to drive normal and I could have family members drive it and not tell them it has 835HP and they’d never know, until they stomp on it.
This is also my...
Mine was quick too, but i'm curious if you received yours before or after they switched over to rail transport. I received mine before they made this change so transportation to the SC didn't take long.
They're a new company trying to scale, all delivery windows are just estimates. I ordered a Bolt from Chevy 4 months ago and they still don't have an ETA on when it's even going to be accepted, so to expect Rivian to be able to give you an exact delivery window is a little unrealistic. My R1S...
I did my first rotation at 11K miles since I didn't have pucks until then, 90% of it was conservative driving and the tread for the fronts were already down to 4/32. I drove another 1000 miles on them and just recently replaced them with 2 new ones. I'm also not going to use conservative at all...
I bought a set of four of these: https://rivianstyle.com/products/rivian-jack-puck-pad-r1t-r1s?variant=42379827970237
Love them and haven't had any issues with them. I had my tires rotated with them and also discount tire used them to install two new tires that I needed. Worked perfect and...
I'm not saying you're wrong in your concerns, it is a complicated suspension system but given that other manufactures having been using similar setups for many, many years now without massive recalls or otherwise high failure rates, I just don't see it a concern. If Rivian pioneered the...
I've got air suspension on my 2014 Grand Cherokee, never had an issue with it personally. It's got well over 100K miles and works perfect so I don't know why the Rivian would be any different
My understanding is that it's a chicken and egg issue with V2H chargers. Here's a post from someone much smarter than I explaining it: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/when-will-r1x-get-v2h-like-the-lightning.6597/post-171505
We should be seeing chargers like the Quaser 2 coming to...
Not disagreeing, but the diffference here is that the concept has a HUD. I had a Camaro with HUD and it was awesome. Not as good as a display in the cluster, but it wouldn’t be the end of the world if I had a robust HUD and no screen in the cluster IMO.
My CGI comment was meant more for when they were showing the truck having a projector, and the heads up display that can see through objects, and the projectors on the ground in front of the truck. As far as I’ve seen that’s all just CGI and isn’t in the real concept vehicle
Depends on your location, but for Texas charging at 350KW speeds it's about 50KW for charging to make up for the $4 membership fee, which gets you less than a 50% charge. So if you're going to use it more than once a month charging more than 50% battery charge it's worth it (In Texas)
I like the UI of the navigation, it's fast enough and it works from a UI perspective. The issue I have with it is the reliability of it. Last time I depended on it was at a Rivian event in the DFW area, I assumed if it was an event that Rivian themselves were hosting i'd be good. Routed to the...
New topic on Reddit speaking about how terrible EA as well, has over 650 comments and isn't even 24 hours old. I'd say EA has had and still has an issue.
