That said, my totally uninformed speculation is that Rivian first thought they would have to fix the cars via a manual/on-site process. That would have required at lot of on-the-ground resources, which they wanted to avoid...
I am running Home Assistant with the Rivian (unofficial) integration. It provides access to vehicle location which I can monitor via a web browser. I haven't opened up access to my Home Assistant instance from the internet, so I can only track the vehicle location while connected to the home...
The $10 fee is per connnection. I found out the hard way when I was heading home from camping in the Ochocos and decided to try it out! Added 1kwh in 5 minutes. Charge was $10.01!
Not true. Some Waypoint chargers are not free. It depends on who partnered with Rivian on the install. For example, the Waypoint charger in Prineville, OR is not free. The cost per kw is only $0.01 but there's also a $10.00 connection fee.
Since 320kbps is the highest supported MP3 bitrate and the Bluetooth SBC codec (some Canadian guy in another thread said this is the codec used by Rivian) is a max of 345 kbps, does a wired USB connection offer any real audio improvement over Bluetooth?

13 months, 13K+ miles and no issues that have kept me from driving the truck. Just a couple of minor recall service issues that were taken care of by mobile service in our garage.
You could just use long presses of the buttons on the right-hand side of the steering wheel to set your speed to the posted limit instead of disengaging the ACC. I find that just as easy as disengaging/re-engaging cruise control.
Rivian's GPS works just fine; it's their navigation that people have issues with! :)

I really enjoy OPD on curvy mountain highways where I can let off on the accelerator heading into a corner and then accelerate through the turn. Much more fluid (IMO, of course) than having to brake into the corner and then switching to the accelerator to power through the turn.
