Funny. If I am returning from an out of town trip I just enter the city - in my case, Bend. That's enough to get me close so I know my way to my house. You can also zoom in on a location (e.g., your home) and drop a pin to start your navigation planning.
Is it possible that you haven't fully adapted to one-pedal driving and are lifting up on the accelerator pedal too quickly, instead of slowly lifting off the pedal to more gradually decelerate? My wife used to comment about my "not so smooth" driving style but either I'm better at it now or...
I would just prefer to have the driver display show vehicles behind and next to me, instead of what's in front. It doesn't take a camera or radar to tell me what my eyes can see in front of me.
From my days doing tech support with PC (Think back to the days of PC DOS and MS DOS). When the darn thing wouldn't work for a customer, we would advise:
1.) CTRL-ALT-DEL, (Rivian soft/infotainment reboot)
2.) power off/poweer on (Rivian hard reboot)
It does let you decide - You just need to keep your foot on the accelerator pedal when you approach that particular curve. If this is your regular route, it shouldn't be a problem as long as you're prepared to take action. It might be annoying to have to do it but ACC is easily overridden...
It just started happening to our R1T a couple of days ago. I first tried a soft (infotainment) reset. When that didn't resolve the problem, I did a hard (vehicle) reset. That fixed the problem.
