Oh! Sorry. I didn't notice the quote was to the other kit posted and not the original kit on the thread. haha. It must send that you would think right? I see it doesn't say in the reviews though.
As mentioned above it's a 18-30p three-phase 125/208 volt outlet. You can see it bottom row six over in this chart:
Unless the Airbnb is in an industrial park I can't understand why they would have that there. I wonder if they were attempting to put in a 14-30 or a 14-50 outlet and they...
Well, the extension cable we are taking about here is just a normal cord that runs between the mobile charger and the wall so it is just as "dumb" as wiring in a wall would be from a Electrical panel, etc. The signal your talking about would be between the Rivian and the mobile charger "box"
That's awesome. Hopefully it allows anyone with any doubt on taking their Rivian for a road trip two areas that don't have high speed charging to feel better.
I have our r1s going in for the driver's side Monday, hoping they can resolve it. I kept putting off this appointment because we don't want to live without the Rivian for long, but it is annoying on the highway
Will report back anything they tell me
The charger and motors can't be used to keep the 12 volt batteries charge because the components don't exist there. Why don't they exist? Because of money, room, for components, and it's not necessary because it is not a normal operating case. This will be for the same reason they don't put...
While parking R1S tonight in the garage I happen to zoom out and look at the map and noticed more than usual the different colors across it showing the traffic. I feel like some of the traffic Data is maybe getting better? I feel like overall the maps are coming together a little bit although I...
I'm not sure I see them getting the glove boxes in, but I think they will have a NACS port, the new steering wheel we saw from the R2, maybe a heat pump, and the thinner front light bar.
I don't think it is a slight of hand on the part of Tune In, I just think it isn't setup for the promotion they do and there is an issue linking the way we subscribed to the account. Not pleasant, but not Sirius xm or comcast level of difficulty to cancel
Same thing here and I don't use apple for anything. They said to use the website, I told them I couldn't and sent a screenshot and they said they escalated it to a supervisor. About 2 days later I got an email saying they were sorry and cancelled my premium subscription.
Anything is before I...
I laughed when I saw this, but then I realized that this is the exact setting I have on our R1S right now (not that I have used the Tesla chargers yet).
We only use the DCfc when on road trips and charge at home the rest of the time so the price would have to be WAY higher for me to even bother...
Great news. I don't think I expected any charge rate loss, but I suppose that the quality of the metals or.something could bring into that. Like you the only time I'm ever using that adapter is for an overnight charge at a destination that has a level 2 Tesla charger so as long as it is faster...
Based on the adapters he listed here it seems like people use the adapter type successfully. feifan, are you sure that the socket you trying to plug into had the power turned on? Maybe the RV park keeps them turned off to make sure that people pay extra or something? Maybe you tripped the...
Do you know if that would work with the Rivian charger with the 14-50 plug on the charger re the question above? I though you might know since.you send it on the first page.
So I have used the 14-30P to 14-50R adapter and I tried it with and without the extension cord when I first got them successfully. Remember I bought these adapters to be able to tap dryer outlets in houses. That's important for when I'm about to say below.
Something that caught my eye is the...
Your fine charging to 100% and letting it sit a couple of hours. If it wasn't ok to have it sit at 100% for a few hours, they wouldn't let you charge it that high. They just don't recommend you do it day in and out for years and years.
I'm going to be visiting family in NH this June and we usually do a day trip to Portsmouth. I imagine we will have Tesla access by then and we will be charging overnight at my in-laws anyway, but I am excited to jump across the border and check this out!
