Orlando metro:I was contacted Monday to take delivery of my LE “this month.” Long story short there was a pending wheel change which took me out of the rotation for a few weeks/months but it sounded like they were going right down the list for someone that wanted my Green LE with 20”. Guide...
You’re delayed one business day at this point and you’re going all Karen wanting a loaner of a vehicle that’s already capacity constrained? You have a right to be annoyed and if you don’t have it in a week then maybe it’s time to start getting upset.
Yah, bright 20, 21, 22 are the same price for LE. Totally get avoiding 21’s. For anyone getting a LE the choice is between 20 & 22. According to a rap song I listened to in high school they’ve been making 22’s for over twenty years now.
Config was open for me last week. Added a few accessories like rubber floor mats and roof rack. Yes from what I was told. Btw, I never got advanced word on “locking” in config or a heads up about a guide contacting me to take “early” delivery.
So. I went to change my wheel size this morning from 20-22” but my configuration was locked which was odd. Went to chat and they said congrats your guide will be contacting you shortly. Spoke to him about an hour later. They were trying to lock me in to take delivery this month (i was a May/June...
Solution, offer a config option for reservation holders that don’t require a test drive to move ahead in the queue over folks that do. Problem solved.
The more fair thing to do would have been to say you have 48 hours to settle on config to keep old prices. Prior to price jump it was encouraged to have fun and tweak configs.
Oh how the sheep blindly defend what they don’t even understand. I love how the majority hear “supply chain” and naively just accept the price increase. Guess what, contractors, manufactures, and suppliers all figured it out months ago so while some price increases are real many are made up...
Just curious if anyone has any info. Did the (Amazon) van also get hit with a price increase like the R1T/S? If so, how much? I know they can play some games on price since Amazon is a large shareholder but if those are a lot cheaper maybe RJ can just let us convert our reservation to a van?
I’m annoyed too but you legal analysts are completely wrong and clouding things with your SEC *knowledge* of an alleged conspiracy. Doesn’t help us but instead makes us all look like idiots by sending Yelp style complaints to Elon’s fav agency
Agreed. The *less* crappy thing to do would have been to say you can lock in now and your deposit goes hard plus maybe an extra deposit to preserve pricing for reservation holders before x date.
We’re all annoyed about the price increase but to allege a SEC investigation with no facts to support is also in poor form and is more likely to get OP an investigation is he’s holding a short position.
If their executive level marketing was this *wrong* it makes me question how the execs are treating the engineering process too. This was an arbitrary price increase a week before earnings call so it pushes up their sales value by that amount for the next two years since there won’t be enough...
